I’m a freelance writer and columnist, born in Iran and living in Stockholm, Sweden since 1987.
The papers I write for are mainly Aftonbladet (the evening sheet) and Close-Up Magazine. The first is the largest daily paper in Scandinavia and the latter (whose name unitentionally forms the lovely acronym CUM) is the largest metal magazine in Scandinavia. Prior to Aftonbladet I used to write for Stockholm City, which is like a local version of Metro.

Any belief system that promotes dogmas more than love is a road to ruin. Spirituality is one thing, religion something else. I’m spiritual but not religious. Buddhism pretty much does it for me, even though I find inspiration in sufism, taoism, paganism (animism) – and occasionly atheism! It’s a bit of a mess, I know, but a lovely one. Note; even though I may not respect a person’s ideology, I’ll always respect him or herself as a human being.
The best thing with Myspace is the opprtunity to find all these great musicians in one place. I’ve noticed that most of the times when I feel in love or in tune with life, it’s actually because I’ve heard a really good song. Life without music would be like a body with anaemia. It’s nutrition for the soul. Divinity and love in sonic form!
I’m a vegetarian/vegan. Not trying to shove my opinion down your throat, your choice is yours and I respect it, but for me meat is murder and barbaric. Sure, the lions eat zebras blabla, but we’re no beasts. We’re humans and can behave accordingly. To me there’e a direct connection and relation between butchering of animals and killing of humans, wars and the current state of our race.
Born in Iran and raised in Sweden, for 20 years I had an inner conflict and unrest. A feeling of not belonging in Sweden and a deep longing and yearning for "something" else". I thought it was the iranian soil calling me back to "motherland", until I actually went there. To make a long story short; home is not were the heart is, it’s where the ass is. Home is wherever people are nice to you and not try to screw you. Home is where your lover is and where your friends are. Home is wherever you choose it to be.
