Saint of Straightedge

I've been alive long enough to realize that I want to enjoy my life to it's fullest, and not worry about the simple, petty things. So, I'm up for a good time.
I am a thorn in the side of a poisoned society.
I like to play guitar (over 13 years), read & write (yes, both), and enjoy life. Simple enough. I have a small room full of recording equipment, which hopefully one day I'll get around to using...
I am in a war against the system.
I'm very introspective, so I self-obsess...but then again, we all do. We all just don't admit to it. I don't take myself too seriously, which I find isn't that common sadly. I'm very kind & thoughtful, but many people mistake that for weakness...which couldn't be further from the truth. I'm as sharp as a knife and my wit is often as dull as the knife I would threaten you with...make sense? I didn't think so.
I don't believe in luck. Any success I have in my life I attribute to my hard work, dedication, personal integrity and drive to persevere and overcome. I make my own destiny and I refuse to stand idly by and wait for something good to happen to me. I am many things, but complacent I am generally not.
Few things make me angry, but the fact that apathy has many of us by the throat makes me want to violently shake people when I see it.
I'm straightedge , meaning that I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs. Period. I'm not militant straightedge, however. So, just because those are my ideals, that certainly doesn't mean I expect them to be yours. I do admire people who think for themselves and don't need to medicate or water themselves down to get by though.
I like meeting new people (be it online or in the real world) so feel free to write, especially if you're an aspiring musician near Whittier. Unlike many people, I'm not out to judge anyone. What a concept.
