Sarah Kershaw graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire in 2001with a first class degree in piano. Since then she has been in demand as both solo artist and accompanist, performing for prestigious companies like the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Chorus. Throughout her classical career so far Sarah has performed in such venues as Symphony Hall and St Johns Smith Square in the UK as well as concerts abroad on cruise ships for Cunard and P&O, and also a tour in Ireland.Her extensive work with singers in particular has inspired Sarah to take up singing and she now regularly performs not only covers as a singer/pianist but also original material as a singer/songwriter around the UK. Venues include various clubs and restaurants such as The Living Room in Birmingham, Pizza Express in Milton Keynes, The Custard Factory in Digbeth and Loch Fyne in Knowle, hotels such as The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington and The Chateau Impney in Droitwich, and more recently The Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove.Sarah has been likened to artists such as Sheryl Crow, Carole King and Eva Cassidy, and is an extremely versatile musician who can play anything from classical to jazz and sing anything from Joni Mitchell to James Brown!.
