About Me

I'm a born and bred Irish-Louisianian! Well, more Louisianian I suppose, but Lucky Charms is my favorite cereal. I grew up in the tiny town of Logansport where I got started in the radio biz at about thirteen. My goal? To one day do radio in Dallas, Texas. By age 18, that goal became more specific- to work for the Wolf in Dallas, Texas! I then moved to a city with running water, Shreveport, Louisiana. There I worked for a few of Clear Channel's radio stations. In 2005, I transferred to their southwest Florida stations and spent two years building sandcastles. After one too many sunburns, I finally turned up in Dallas to work for...yes, the Wolf! (Ten years!) I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could. I'm lucky enough to know and love the coolest, most beautful lady in Texas, Lisa Slade. We met at work and are both radio junkies. She's a marketing and events gal, I'm the mouth. I've also got a TEN year old son named Stedman. (No, not like Oprah's boyfriend- like my middle name!) Check me out doing the weekend thing, filling-in, etc. for 99.5, the world famous Wolf! Other than that, I do voiceovers and I get paid to teach people how to save and make $$$! No, I'm not a drug dealer and I can help you!! Say hello and buy me a pint or a bowl of Lucky Charms. Oh, and LONG LIVE CARLIN!!!

My Interests

Broadcasting in general, politics, guitar, music. I'll sit in front of CNN for hours. Yes, it's always a party at my house.

I'd like to meet:

Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Buffett, Robin Williams, Buddy Guy (again), B.B. King, Clapton, James Taylor, Willie Nelson (again), Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Dave Chapelle, George Carlin, and Rudy Guiliani. I can't believe I'm answering these questions.

Music:

Willie Nelson once told me that that 'music' is "anything that's pleasing to the ear." Word, Willie!

I love war movies and comedies, I've been known to dig a few sappy ones, too. Shh. Don't tell anybody.

Television:

I dig Boston Legal, The West Wing when I can catch reruns, and The Office. Oh, yeah, and anything on CNN having to do with presidential politics. I think that means I may have to buy a walker soon. Shit. I want one with a cool paint scheme.

Books:

Non-fiction is where it's at. Yes, I'm the center of any party. It's got to be about something real and sometimes, it has to help me make money!
