A sound from heaven…. That is certainly what you will hear when you are exposed to the ministry of Pastor Vance K Barnes II. He is highly anointed by God to preach a crisp word from the Lord spoken with pinpoint accuracy. He was born San Francisco, CA and graduated from Balboa High School. Born again at an early age and began preaching at the age of 16 years old. After 4 years of preaching and evangelizing, he was appointed the interim pastor of the Mount Gilead Baptist Church where he was already a member. In Sept of 2003, he was then installed as the Senior Pastor. Although young, God has given him a seasoned spirit to be able to shepherd and even mentor those who exceed him in age. His intense preaching commands people’s attention. His fiery style and intense preaching can only be surpassed by his integrity and his love for God’s people.As the Lord continued to speak to him, he was instructed by the Lord to begin a new work for his kingdom. So in the latter part or 2005 after much prayer, he began the work of planting a church in Oakland. January 15, 2006, The Believers’ House Of Victory, a non- denominational church, held its first worship service.Pastor Barnes is currently a student at School of Urban Missions in pursuit of a theological degree.While pastoring two churches in the Bay Area, you'll find that he is caring, motivated, and vision conscious. Pastor has an “out of the box” ministry simply because most individuals have “out of the box” problems. He has a ministry that crosses cultural, denominational, and social lines. Pastor Vance K.
