i have a thing for the '80's teen angst movies, especially john houston...seein' as i was a teen in angst when those movies came out - the breakfasy club, st. elmo's fire, some kinda wonderful, pretty in pink, valley girl, fast times at ridgemenot high, ferris bueller's day off, risky business, an officer and a gentleman, american giggolo, mean streets, taxi driver, cruisin', scarface, rollerball, jesus' son, boys don't cry, l.a without a map, hackers, trainspotting, pink flamingoes, female trouble, lust in the dust, cry baby, hairspray and only john waters version - fuck that shite remake - if divine and debbie harry and ricki lake ain't in it, well it's not worth shit!!! john travolta in a fat suit is revolting, especially lookin' like some suburban boredom. vomitous, stick to grease brotha man...serial mom, pecker, trash, baraka - this is probably the best doc ever made. period. spiderman - all of 'em, the x-men - all of 'em. star wars, the empire strikes back, return of the jedi - the rest of 'em suck. baraka is the BEST doc...;)

i love to read...some of my fav authors are timothy findley, john irving, william gibson, douglas copeland, anne-marie macdonald, margaret atwood, henry miller, jack kerouac...ginsberg, anne rice, anne mc caffrey...issac assimov, ray bradbury, gene genet, leo tolstoy, irvine welsh...martin amis, audrey niffenegger, philip k. dick is absolutely fuckin' awesome, can't get enough of his stuff - i read the big ol' controversial book "a million little pieces" by whatshisface...before it became a controversy. good book. the follow up "leonard" wasn't so bad either.i finally read "no chance bar & grill" by chris walters. i am a fan of this local vangroovy writer. i DIG his cerlox-bound home made books. some one stole a couple, those bastards!! ok...maybe they borrowed them for infinity.i think every politician, scientist, nanotechnician, geneticist and big pharma folks should read oryx and crake by margaret atwood. it's an amazing book...frightening and a big wake up to all the bullshit we are doing, manipulating genes, thinking we are gods.authors and books are an endless list so just ask. my fav book is the good one - ;)
