Breaker were formed in late 2004 when after playing with a string of people who just wern't right for the job, Mike and I (George) began playing guitar together. Soon after this we recruited Rob, Mikes extremly heavy hitting former drummer. We began playing in our shitty (but beautiful) garage which we still use today, and wrote a couple of metal songs. We then went to record these using our colleges meager equipment and engineering for us at the time was Paul who became our bassist. From here we improved as a group and began to gig frequently. More tunes were written and the songs themselves were becoming heavier and faster as we tried to develop our own sound. Then in 2005 the band was dealt a brutal blow when Rob was involved in a car crash which broke his pelvis and collar bone. This obviously took time to heal, but Rob ( being the trooper he is) was drumming long before the Doctors said he'd be walking without the aid of crutches. So once again we began gigging for a year. Things finally seemed to be heading in the right direction until the end of 2006, when I was diagnosed with a very evil form of bone cancer called Ewngs Sarcoma. This put the band on hold again while I went thrugh A hellish year of surgery and Chemotherapy. However... This is now behind us as I finished treatment 5 weeks ago and have the "all clear". We have began rehearsing harder then ever and will be gigging again soon. However yesterday, for reasons which are between he and us, Paul decided that he no longer wanted to be a part of the band. Obviously this is both saddening and dissapointing as Paul was a massive part of the band his leaving creates a big hole to fill. However the show must go on and this is just another setback for a band which just cant seem to get enough of 'emWe are not currently looking for a new bass player. We have a lot of work to do after a looooong year of being static.Just after I was diagnosed we were booked to record our first proper E.P. We decided to record anyway but the circumstances did not lend themselves to a high quality recording. We are heading into the studio to re record some bits and pieces but in the meantime the music you are listening to is from that January 07 recording session. That takes us up until today. We are a band who pride ourselves on playing heavy metaal, drinking and having a good time.
