Neil Luckett was first discovered by a dog called Pickles, under a hedge in Bedford. It was the Chinese year of the Horse but Neil is not Chinese. He is however descended from half a German. When he was younger he wore a size 14 collar and he started his musical life when he found a Stratocaster copy in a skip. It had 46 frets. He mastered the guitar in one day and thumbed his way to London in search of the big time. Various bands came and went over the years, some succeded, others didn't, but Neil never got down hearted because he always had a scar on his knee, and a song to sing.Slowly but steadily, Neil has built a C.V. that includes song writing, session playing, production, tuition and performance, all at very high levels. He has actually begged me to name the very famous people that he's worked with over the years, but I refuse. It's just not cool to name drop Neil!
Whilst plucking and yelling in the band tvfordogs, Neil is currently producing a number of acts in his studio "Hell-hole" which is just near.....er........you know that pub?.........just round the corner from there! Recent sessions include Phil Dodd, Idiotboy and Butterfly Stitch as well as the new album by tvfordogs. He's also been polishing my turds for a couple of months. He writes for classical guitar, string quartet, television, radio and film. Many people claim that Joe Dolce stole "Shaddap You Face" from a song that Neil had wriiten called "24 Hours From Balsa". The similarity is there for all to see but Neil refused to testify, and the case was dropped.
So you get the idea, he's really good at lots of stuff. All these albums are available and Neil would like you to buy them on itunes... just click on the links :

He is a right show off. He is also well over 6 feet tall, and yet his house is only 4 feet high. He now takes a size 16 collar.
