About Me

Snowblindwaltz still walk the planet and all currently breathe in and out but they are not making music together at the moment. Hey! We've started at the end of the story like some sort of Tarantino-esque thriller, but rest assured there will be no fat wiggy pumpkin headed John Travolta types blobbing their way around this biog.

In June 2000 Snowblindwaltz finished recording their second album proper Promises From Room 9 and then having played a successful weekend of gigs in Galway the band just stopped. Poor quality ending really, would have been more dramatic if one of the band members had choked on vomit or drowned in their pool, or combined the two and drowned in a vomit swimming pool. Although thats highly unlikely, you'd just end up with bits of carrot clogging the filters all the time.

However even though the second album was never released the band did manage to complete a promo video for the track Two Kind Of Indians which was broadcast on Irish television on the little known channel RTE 2. The video is at last available to view.

In 1998 the band recorded and released its first proper album Sheer which received good reviews but suffered from no proper marketing strategy and no actual cash to give it a push or even a slight nudge to be honest. But you must remember this was in the days before the internet made music easily available everywhere, Blimey! I tell you, I can remember when all of this was just circuits and wires.

Back in 1997 when we were all still living in black and white the band released a cassette only compilation of their demos called Unseen & Unheard Oh what cheeky little scamps we were back then. Just so we have a fully rounded picture of events we have also included My Maniac on this page. So thats it, no point going back any further as the rest of its just us growing up and that kind of stuff and thats not really that interesting unless you were one of us and even then..pfffft!!
