Land-O Smiles

About Me

One:is:to:one is a studio-based project for guitarist Nick Pledge of Melbourne bands, The Black Hundred and Oneironaut. One:is:to:one has existed in various forms since 2000 and Lo-Fi Lullabies is the debut independent release. The album was written specifically as a soundtrack to the 2005 art exhibition False Idols. The soundscape veers languidly from loop-driven beats to washes of feedback and evokes an audible environment to draw the viewer deeper into the visual artists imagination. The albums unique mix of sonic textures alludes to artists such as Bowery Electric, Boards of Canada and Flying Saucer Attack.5 new tracks are underway for the next release. Three are included in the songs above in rough mix state.Other projects include Oneironaut, The Black Hundred and Underground Labs.

Hunter......

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." Hunter S. Thompson
