I'm quite the randomized person... I love music, enjoy horseback riding, the usual movies and reading books, but I also like roleplaying and just sitting at the beach and listening to the water come up onto the shore... such a relaxing sound. There's a lot more, but I'm sure, not nearly enough space.
Old friends from High School and make new friends.
I love just about every kind of music... my life revolves around music. I have been singing since I was four; I started writing lyrics several years ago and singing has been a big part my life for over twenty years now. Music isn't just an interest or hobby... it's a passion.Some of the things I'm currently obsessed with are Hypnogaja, Eurythmics, Nina Gordon, Kidney Thieves, Afghan Whigs, Rob Zombie/White Zombie, Nightwish, Delerium, She Wants Revenge, The Rasmus, Bonnie Raitt, Finger Eleven, Three Days Grace, Amethystium.
As with the music, my tastes here are scattered as well. Some of my favourites include 300, Newsies, The Breakfast Club, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (cheesy, but I still love it), Four Brothers, Sin City, Batman Begins, The Last Unicorn, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Perfect Harmony, Elizabeth, Shrek (both of them), Monsters, Inc., Harry Potter (all of them), Pirates of the Caribbean (both), Labyrinth, National Treasure, Mystic River...I think that's enough for now.
I like several different shows, favourites being Forensic Files, Body of Evidence, Prison Break, Heroes, House, Criminal Minds, Justice, Shark, Medium, CSI (for entertainment value only, of course), most anything on Discovery, Discovery Health, CourtTV and TLC.Old shows: Red Dwarf!!!! Oh, and The Wind in the Willows.
I've liked every book I've read, here are some of the more recent ones: Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin, Looking Glass Wars, Sandstorm, the Pendergast novels by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child, Haunted, Industrial Magic, Chronicles of Narnia (all seven little books which I read from time to time), Harry Potter series, DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons.I'd really like to read American Theocracy sometime soon, as it was recommended by a friend.
I've never really thought of myself as having "Heroes" but I would have to say the people I look up to are my husband, my great-grandmother Root, my grandfather, my best friend, Lori, and I still admire my late great-grandfather Root. I also look up to my friends for all any of us have been through over the years with or without each other.
