I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm Alison. A writer of ads and other things that maybe you will read one day. I'm a copywriter by day, and lately - by night as well. Grew up in St. Louis, moved back for a year and then left again. Now I'm calling Boston home. I've lived in Lawrence, KS, Gainesville, FL, Atlanta, GA, NYC and now I'm here. In New York, I took the red bus tour with some friends where Roger fascinated us with information like the fact that it took one year and forty-five days to build the empire state building and that if you don't paint cast iron - it will rust. Both fascinating things everyone should know about New York. Really. And now that I'm in Boston I've been told to take the duck tour. I think I'll do that one of these days.MySpace Codes

My Interests

Love random adventures. Live concerts. Driving with the top down and the music blaring...wait, I don't have a convertible anymore...lets make that the sunroof open. People watching. Starbucks. The Mud Truck. Traveling. Reading. Writing. Anything to do with the water. Love my job and exploring the areas around Boston - been here over a year and still don't totally feel like i live here. Maybe doing a film project one day with my roommate... Working for Lyrics for Life....The Gators.... meeting new people...and apparantly elipses....

I'd like to meet:

you.

Music:

Love it all. Really into lyrics and singer/songwriters. Right now some favorites are Shawn Mullins, Glen Phillips, Pat McGee Band, Counting Crows, Dexter Freebish, Edwin McCain, Sister Hazel, any Rock Boat cd and a little bit of country.

Movies:

Passion Of Mind - Demi Moore - an absolute must see. The occasional Lifetime movie. Ya Ya Sisterhood. Adventures in Babysitting. And about a zillion others I just can't think of right at this moment.

Television:

Just looked over my profile and realized most of the tv shows I had are already off air. This season, some faves are Lost and Gray's Anatomy (of course) Studio 60, all the Law & Orders, Amazing Race and other reality shows... and now that I have dvr I'm hooked on All My Children again. Guilty pleasures are those awful but fantasticly addictive MTV shows.

Books:

The Davinci Code and everything else by Dan Brown. Bookends and the other British Romantic Comedy books by Jane Green. Any good mystery. The Five People You Meet in Heaven. The Year of Yes by Maria Headley. The Diary and anything else by Chuck Palahiuk. Oh - can't forget "The Benefits of Being a Wallflower" Griffin and Sabine, My Sister's Keeper and all those other books I read and just can't remember the damn title...

Heroes:

Anyone who has a dream and goes after it. Who has a true passion for something. Who take their time to teach or impact other people, who create something that make you feel, women that make it to the top of the creative advertising world. Also my mom, Yossi Katz (my teacher from HSI) and Roger - the guy from the Red Bus Line tour.
