Hi, I'm Robert, but all my friends call me Bob, I think it started in school as a bit of a wind up but just sort of stuck.I spent a lot of my youth travelling around various parts of the Middle East, (my dad works away), and this gave me the urge to travel and follow in the old mans footsteps and become an expat, though I went to school in Lancaster. I did 7 whole years at Huddersfield Uni studying Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Production Engineering. I told my folks I was studying hard, but I actually spent my 7 years there enjoying the social life, we had some spot on parties...I'm a bit of a geek, (have you seen my photo's?) though I like to go out, meet people and have a good time, I love my mates back in the Hudd, Hence I spend most of my free time still going back. I'm into all sorts of music, especially rock, indie and britpop.
I'm afraid I'm also a total petrolhead, especially classic cars (70's and 80's BMW's and Porsches), cars with big engines (Monaro, MG ZT 260, TVR's ) and anything with a Lotus badge on it.Job wise I'm a contractor. In fact to be exact, I'm a QA/QC mechanical engineer for a Turkish company in Kazakhstan. Its my first contract since graduating and its a bit of a revelation as a. Its nothing like uni b. I have no idea what I'm doing. c. Its great and I love it.
I work in a place called Karabatan in the middle of the Steppe. Its flat, deserty and we're in the middle. The nearest city is Atyrau about an hours drive away. The Costa Del Sol it is not, but it has its own odd and slightly threatening charm.Anyway, feel free to look at my piccies, read my blog and if you want to message me, go for it, The more the merrier!Bob.
You Are Barney
You could have been an intellectual leader...
Instead, your whole life is an homage to beer
You will be remembered for: your beautiful singing voice and your burps
Your life philosophy: "There's nothing like beer to give you that inflated sense of self-esteem."
