CONDENSED BIOGRAPHY:
Randy was born on December the 6th 1956 and started playing guitar aged 6. He formed Quiet Riot in his teens and they recorded two albums for the Japanese market. They didn't manage to secure a US deal while Randy was in the band.
Randy spent many years teaching guitar at his Mother's music School 'Musonia' in North Hollywood, teaching approximately 60 students a week.
In late '79 Randy auditioned for ex Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne and went to England to write the first album 'Blizzard of Ozz'. Randy recorded one more Ozzy album 'Diary of a madman'.
Before Randy's untimely death, he won 'Best New Talent' award for Guitar Player magazine and won another award from UK magazine 'Sounds'.
On March 19th 1982 tragedy struck when Randy and two others died in a plane crash. He was just 25 years old.
In 1987 the live album Tribute was released showcasing the stunning energy and passion of Randy's live guitar work.
With just two studio albums under his belt and 25 years after his passing, he still remains a bright light in the guitar world and continues to inspire players young an old.
He is very much missed.
