About Me

He stands a smooth six feet-two inches and sports long dark twisted hair. THEOs excitement is palpable in the air, and with good reason. With his self-produced, self-written, self-everything else debut project dropping in September, THEO is realizing the fruition of a life-long dream. I wanted to tell my story, in a way that other gospel music today isnt really doing. There is a lot of great music out there, and a lot of great artists, but people kept telling me I needed to be out there, giving people what no one else could-my testimony in my own words. Its quite a story too, from the everyday praise of the upbeat Will Not Let U Go, to the soulful silk of Still Small Voice, THEO weaves intimate tales of his own triumphs, trials and continuing transformation into the man of God he is being led to be. Touching on topics as varied as divorce(2 be1) and self-discovery, dealing with criticism and judgmental individuals ( U Dont Know Me), and even thoughts of suicide (Six Reasons to Live), THEO feels he has struck a chord with listeners yearning to hear the reflection of their own thoughts in spiritual music. Everyone who has heard the music is just so pumped for me, because they can all identify with something that Im talking about. Ive really tried to get objective feedback to gauge where we are in terms of truly relating to people where they are. So far, its been very positive. With the first single buzzing radio this summer, THEO is primed to blast off from a platform that has taken years to build. Singing since the age of five, he his buttery vocal has shared the stage with numerous luminaries in the industry, such as John P. Kee, Brian McKnight, Brandy, and Yolanda Adams. No slouch on the guitar or piano, he penned all of the tunes on his forthcoming indie release The Life, The Walk, The Music and is already gearing up to produce projects for fellow up-and-coming acts Jamysa Lytes and Heather Lindsay. THEO, the firstborn son of a minister, is fully comfortable in the spotlight. But he wants people to know that it isnt simply for show or self-glorification. His story is being told for a divine purpose, and is meant to lead others to the sort of peace and happiness, that he now experiences. His talents as a producer, songwriter, arranger, and instrumentalist mean nothing without the stories he tells in the name of Someone Greater. Im talking about how I was out there in the world and how God saved me, and brought me to a place where I can use my music to help the world. Now thats sounds picture perfect!
