About Me

YOU CAN GET THESE::::
SINGLE - "CHRIS HUELSBECK"/"AAAEND" out now on Thee SPC, download for FREE at www.theespc.com
"Heartyeah do guitar-electro horribleness very well, mixing spiralling, pneumatic, ear-drum-puncturing guitar sounds with aching sound effects and somewhat deranged vocals to create something that sounds genuinely weird and nasty, but which retains a sufficiency of human emotion to be aching and haunting as well. And that mixture has a strange fascination to it, and before you know where you are you’re pressing Play again and again as you try and pin down the addictively elusive emotions which surely shouldn’t be so firmly attached to something this wilfully misanthropic. So, you have been warned – now ignore that warning, and go get hooked on these songs.

Genre-splicing seems to be the tactic of choice at the moment for any band wishing to stand out a little from the downpour of identical indie bands that are as persistent and predictable as the weather right now. Nothing seems to be out of the question. Jazz-Death-Metal-Prog-Blues-Trip-Hop anyone? heartyeah have chosen the seemingly inconsistent styles of thrash-punk and juggernaut-techno with which to create their sound. Interested yet? ??heartyeah formed through their "love of late 80s shoegazing, chart topping pop and fucking loud house". Their music couples a devotion to originality and invention with a desire to make a noise like a catastrophic industrial accident. But like, in space or something. There's something of Gallows about them, more than a little Nine Inch Nails and a smattering of My Bloody Valentine. It's not an easy listen. ??Song titles including 'Erotic Vodka Stories', 'Estaban Child Of The Sun' and 'All Aboard The Advice Boat' hopefully give some idea of the chaotic and bewildering assault on the ears this album is. Clattering guitars juxtapose (jaggedly) with screaming vocals and thundering techno drum loops. Tracks wind up and down in tempo and volume without warning, not allowing the listener a moment's rest. ??If this all sounds like a bloody shambles to you then you wouldn't be far wrong. But the most deliberate and carefully arranged bloody shambles you're ever likely to come across. Painful, terrifying but disturbingly brilliant.
we are heartyeah, and cant apologise enough for the name. we started the band due to our shared interest in talking about things but never getting round to doing them. we have written a fantastic rock record which will be coming out on thee spc very soon, and we will be booking some kind of tour to promote this, so if you want us to play give us a message and we will probably end up cancelling the gig at the last minute. because we are losers. and disorganised.
but we are alright, like .
