-----------
Originally an un-named band started in April 2006 by A Last Effort’s Jesús and Fernando Antelo along with their friend Chris Diaz. Later seeking a drummer, heads turned towards Felipe, a.k.a. "Fader." With a drummer in the line-up, the band began to write songs and some lyrics. During this time, the band searched for a singer that would fit their music style. Unfortunately the band could not find one as such. Eventually, the band just decided to keep it a 4-piece band, leaving Jesús as the singer and playing guitar. More recently in March 2007, guitarist and friend Chris had to leave the band for personal and family reasons, but left on good terms. They then asked Fernando’s friend Javier if he was interested in playing, so he joined as the new lead guitarist. The band then recorded their first CD titled "Too Late to Strike Back," featuring 9 songs, most of which had been written the first couple of months that the band had first formed. The CD was released on October 12th, and the band did several shows around South Florida to support it. However, by mid-November, drummer Felipe left the band to join a band that had more of a grindcore/hardcore style. By late December, Chris Oviedo joined as the band’s permanent drummer. The band has done several shows, and has shared the stage with bands such as We The Kings, The Drive Home, and Dont Die Cindy.
THE MEMBERS
Jesús A.- Jesús was born in Puerto Rico. He came from one of the seeds of Jack’s giant beanstalk, which is why he’s so big and hispanic. At the age of 9, he moved along with his brother Fernando to Florida. But it wouldn’t be until he was two months away from his 16th birthday that he would finally be allowed to play guitar. He quickly discovered that he had potential to be a vocalist, and while learning to play guitar, he developed his vocal skills even more. At age 17, he got his chance to really sing (not to mention write lyrics) with band A Last Effort. Scince then, he has become one of the world’s leading experts on yodeling.
Fernando A. - Fernando was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He moved to Florida with his brother Jesús when he was 6. Fernando enjoys listening to music and playing music, as well as hunting man-bear-pigs. He not only plays the bass, but can also play the trumpet, the tuba, and the drums. Fernando started to play bass when he was 12 or 13. He left his bass alone for a while. He was asked to play bass for A Last Effort, so he started playing it again. Fernando stayed with A Last Effort for about a year. When A Last Effort ended, Fernando joined The Taxi Cabs as a full-time member. He likes to aid Al Gore’s campaign of man-bear-pig awareness on his spare time.
Javier B. - Javier was born in Puerto Rico. Javier enjoys listening to music and playing pokemon. His favorite bands are the Mars Volta and Protest The Hero. He joined the Taxi Cabs when the ex-guitarist left. He is the best member of the Taxi Cabs as we can see in this interview with him: Interviewer: "Javier, who would you say is the best member of your band?" Javier: "Well, I think it’s more than safe to say that it’s me."
Chris O. - Chris has been too lazy to write his own third-person autobiography, and so does not have one here at the moment, so for now this one will do. All we know is that he was born in Peru and is the world’s best ping-pong player, although refuses to compete in table tennis tournaments after a 1997 freak ping-pong accident which he was involved in where 27 people were rushed to the hospital. Chris has scince refused to give a statement about the incident.
