What is Kinda Groovy?
Kinda Groovy is a house music brand with no boundaries. We produce two radio shows, one weekly, one fortnightly, broadcast across the globe on the world wide web to a range of listeners from the average clubber to the house enthusiast. The radio show can be subscribed to as a Podcast so you never miss a show!
Tell me about the radio show?
The main show is presented by Colin Sales and features a pick of the very latest in soulful and funky house tracks in the mix. There is also a guestmix each week - previous guests have included CJ Mackintosh, Andy Ward, John Jones, Rasmus Faber, Copyright, Mousse T, Jason Hates Jazz & many many more. We also have a Purple Music's Jamie Lewis as monthly resident.
We also have a fortnightly show called Electric Grooves which delves into the deeper, twisted and downright banging sounds of electronic music, hosted by David Forbes and featuring special guest such as Deepgroove, Trisco and many more!
Is it just an online radio brand?
No, we also produce DJ mixes which can be streamed or downloaded at anytime at colinsales.com. Our philosophy is that if the music makes you move, we'll play it!
Who are the Kinda Groovy DJs?
Our team of DJs ensure that no matter what is played, you are guarenteed to groove! They are Colin Sales, David Forbes, Michael Paterson, Dominic Martin & Greg M.
Where is brand based - do you do anything else?
Kinda Groovy is based in Glasgow, Scotland where we have regular events showcasing the excellent DJ talent our city has to offer. We also raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support at our bank holiday all dayer sessions and special one-off events.
What are the plans for the future?
The brand is continually expanding with exciting new projects and DJs coming on board, and we hope that you can join us on our journey through some of the finest house around!
