I come from glenrothes (fife) in scotland.i have been djing for 16 years my first taste of dance music came in the early 90’s when i caught the Rave Bug sweeping the nation at the time. Early rave pioneers like Carl Cox , Slipmatt,dj sy and dj rapp influenced me to get into Djing myself. My first break came in 1994/95ish when i and a few friends played a series of Raves for Charity alongside the Legendary Tom Wilson.
My Rave career was fairly short-lived however, as i decided to make the move towards House in the late 90’s. My first real break into the House scene came in 2001/02 when i secured a number of backroom slots at HRP’s club night Perversity in the Town Hall, Thornton, Fife and then at The Venue in Edinburgh. I quickly became a favourite with the clubs regulars thanks to my funky ass floor filling sets and in 2004 was rewarded with the main room residency when Perversity launched at Visions in Rosyth.Also in 2004 i came a very close 2nd to fellow HRP DJ Phillip Kaulfus (aka Left Handed Bastard) in the UFreak National DJ Competition Fife Heat and went onto play a number of times for UFreak at Archaos in Glasgow alongside top DJ’s like Dave Angel, Trevor Rockliffe,bryan zentz & marco bailey.I have also played alongside josh the funky 1,bimbo jones & warner powers.check out my profile on www.hotrockproductions.co.uk
