About Me

I'm happy in my life. My two sons are my greatest joy and, often, my greatest headache. Find me a parent that doesn't say the same thing and I'll find you someone with a really good pharmacist. In a nut shell: 1965 I was born. 1966 adopted by a great family. 1966-1977 raised in a happy family and nice neighborhoods. 1977 my dad died when I was almost 12. 1978 I got a step-family just in time for me to go psycho with puberty. 1978-1983 you can imagine these yrs were lots of fun for everyone involved. Oddly, no one killed me so in 1983, I went to college. 1985 my birth mom found me. 1986 dropped out of college and started work (still at that company - weird). 1993-2000 did photography and sang in various bands & musical theater in Boston. 1991 met Mr. Wright. 1996 married Mr. Wright. 2000 popped out clone 1 of Mr. Wright. 2003 popped out clone 2 of Mr. Wright. 2005 moved to Austin area. Currently - still here and lovin' it.Asleep yet? I am.

My Interests

My gorgeous boys; singing; Wright's photography; listening to great vocals; praying for winning lottery tickets to miraculously blow in my front door; using IM to make coworkers laugh/snort out loud during conference calls; amazing conversations with true friends; connecting with family and friends through this wacky cyber place.

I'd like to meet:

God. But not too soon.

Television:

The Weather Channel - esp. Storm Stories. Love almost anything on National Geographic channel or Discovery. Love those stories about crimes or murders that took forever to solve. I am 100% sure I would never get away with any crime. I am hooked on about 4 different series on HBO. Love the Sopranos, Entourage, Rome & Big Love. On Showtime, I love The L Word. On the SciFi channel, who knew someone could actually take Battlestar Gallactica and make it an amazing show?! The new Apollo? Yes please. I'll take TWO, actually. I am also rather hooked on lots of shows on Noggin, Discovery Kids, PBS and Disney. I've watched them so long with my kids that they're actually fun for me now. The Doodle Bops may make you think you're flashing back, but of all the kids' shows with music? Theirs is the best. Thanks to Disney's 'Little Einsteins', my 6 yr old wants to be a composer when he grows up. His favorite composer is D'vorak. And to think I thought it was a crap show the first time I saw it.

My mom Rose. My birth-mom April. My sister Donna. My gorgeous sons. Minnah who reached 101 with all her marbles. Anyone who isn't afraid to do something that actually improves the world even if it doesn't pad their wallet. People who walk their own talk - even if I disagree with them.
