I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Live in Miami but originally from NY. Don't have a great quantity of friends but I have a great quality of friends. I am planning on going to several cons this year to promote my blog/podcast and meet other scifi fans. I used to work for Borders Books for 7 years but I now work for a library where I can get my books for free, hahaha! (Library humor, how droll.) Seriously, I love what I do as I did a Star Trek event last year and planning on a book group in the next couple of months.Read more on my blog: www.monsterscifishow.wordpress.comI want to continue with my screenwriting career as I wrote a spec fan script for Star Trek: DS9. This was my first rejection letter but I need to gain more experience and confidence in my writing.

My Interests

Reading, screenwriting, rollerblading(when I can get the chance) and cooking when there is actual room on the stove and of course, when there is food in the house. Also podcasting:Get this widget!

An Engineer's Guide to Cats
http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2369949/7403850

Cat's lovers docu-drama..lol.

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people who can have an intelligent conversation about politics, world issues, cooking tips, and insight as to who would win a fight between Star Wars' Death Star vs Star Trek's Borg.Any film composer which are gods to me. John Williams is the master and I am but a learner.Beginning screenwriters, podcasters, bloggers, or any one looking for a creative outlet to promote ones work is someone I look like to talk to.

Music:

Find more music like this on SF WIW
I love movie soundtracks, John Williams would be one of my all time favorite people to meet in my life. Other great composers, James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith (R.I.P.), Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, Bear McCreary, John Barry to name a few more. Prince is another great artist like no other. Anything from the 80's like Go West, Tears for Fears, and Thompson Twins.

Movies:

Almost all scifi movies (good and especially bad ones), love independent films like Babel, Little Miss Sunshine. Love watching Dude, Where's My Car and Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and classics like Blues Brothers, Animal House, and National Lampoon's Vacation. ..

Television:

..
Find more videos like this on SF WIW
..Heroes, Lost, Pushing Daises, Star Trek (all series), BSG, Buck Rogers, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, MST3K, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Good Eats, and anything on IFC.

Books:

I have way too much to read but I love graphic novels, books about movies and television shows, and any dummies book to make my life better because I hate being a big ol' dummy myself. Dune, Star Wars, Star Trek, Philip K. Dick.

Heroes:

Marvel, D.C., Dark Horse, I love them all as long as they tell me a great story.Anyone who can do what they say is amazing. Talk is cheap as action speaks volume.
