OKASITE, New Tracks Up

Yeap... I'm a ditz

About Me

Okasite is my (Era Brightwell) solo project with live band. I write all my own music/songs and play everything you hear on the recordings. Not all at once obviously for f**ks sake! The style of music is basically Pop/Punk with light and dark moments and loads of melody. I have played in bands over the years, but due to not feeling happy started my solo thing as a refreshing change. The Okasite live line up is: Glenn Brown; Bass and Joe McElhinney; Drums, and me on Vocs and Guitar making the live act a three piece in total. Okasite is my one and only musical endevour and at this stage I'm unsigned and have already encountered tons of let downs and signed bits of paper that could've fuct Okasite completely... But thats finally been sorted and I'm free, free as a bird!! I'm pressing up my debut 11 track album "Bust Out The Bongos" and unleashing it on anyone interested. It was recorded by engineer friend Tim Shackleton in a make shift studio and came togethar really f**kn' well. Check the tunes and rock out.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: No need at the mo.
Band Members: Solo project of Era. Live Drums Joe McElhinney, Live Bass Glenn Brown
Influences: Bands that influence/inspire/have inspired me for years are: Idlewild (this band is majorly under rated), Jimmy Eat World, Green Day (losing the plot a bit though!!), Helmet, Nirvana, Alkaline Trio, The Lemonheads (I met Evan Dando and it was good times), Blink and Boxcar, Sommerset, The Vines, Weezer (just some times), Elemeno P (good times kiwi shit yo) Wesley Willis (my friend Pinky introduced me to him) etc etc...
Sounds Like: Melodic Pop/Punk at a mainly rock tempo. Simple but not boring. Don't wanna name drop bands.
Type of Label: None
