I am here for Friends

About Me

I love to be active outside, especially hiking in the mountains or swimming in a lake. My grandpa always told me that you need to learn something new everyday to really live and I believe that. Traveling is a great way to learn, so I try to go someplace new as much as possible. My job is to study the many signed languages around the world, and I love it!I'm passionate about social justice issues and that deaf people would have a voice in whatever country they live. I've taught sociolinguistics in the past and will probably again in the future, but what comes next is a bit vague to me so I live my life on a day to day basis. Ask me to play ultimate frisbee, volleyball, basketball, squash, and a host of other sports and I'll be there.I am in love with my husband and still feel like we are newlyweds after 2 years. I'm a truth seeker and am thrilled about the hope and life that Jesus brings to us, here on earth and in eternity. I love theological and philosophical discussions, coffee shops, and friends. I can't wait until all of my friends are in one place to meet each other.

what do you think of this quote?

Orthodoxy is, in the Church, very much what prejudice is in the single mind. It is the premature conceit of certainty. It is the treatment of the imperfect as if it were the perfect. Phillips Broo...
