Ok, I'm 31 and studying to become a studio producer in recording and mastering. I've had experience working at the BBC for 4 years and I've just finished my final year of BTEC Music Technology and I acheived straight Distinctions throughout. Starting a HND in Music Technology this coming October.Currently I'm being educated on Pro-Tools (my Final Major Project is recorded on this) and Mackie. I'm proficiant in Cubase and Reason and really enjoy producing my own music but moreover, I enjoy producing on different musical styles where I can.What's the point in being a producer unless you really appreciate how ALL music is made? :o)I play guitar, piano, drums and sax. None of them to a particularly high standard though. I'm a kind of jack of all instruments, master of none.I've got a pretty colourful taste in music I think. My roots are in grunge, but over the years I've come to appreciate many different genres and as a result, my taste is now pretty broad.I've had studio experience as a freelance for the BBC between my 16 - 20 years. Unfortunately the freelance work dried up and I fell into office work for about 5 years. Got to manager status and decided it wasn't for me so have returned to college to make amends and get myself a career in something I actually enjoy!I'm originally from Burton, Staffs but lived in Luton, Beds for 20 odd years.
