About Me

I have been a professional DJ for nearly 15 years. I am a music addict. I compose, engineer and produce music, as well. I believe music is the sound of life, one could say the voice of God. Music is my religion.

Anyhow, I enjoy people of all kinds. Conversation and interaction is an amazing way to learn about oneself and enjoy others simultaneously. This fuels my fascination for language and communication.

I'm a fan of art and literature, though, admittedly, I don't seek either often enough. None the less, I have a great appreciation for both. I look forward to every new discovery and encourage people to introduce me to new things.

Another thing about me that I am embracing lately: I am on a life-long case study of "faith." (ie. what is it? who has it? in what? in whom? for how long? to what end? why and why not?) Faith is certainly one of human-kind's most intriguing concepts, for me. *Please, do not misinterpret this to mean I am interested in being "converted" or "saved," as I am quite strong in my own faith, and am comfortable with my own rate of progress.* However, if you'd like to have open-minded conversation, I'm always up for that.

and if you'd like to visit my music page and hear one of my freaky original tracks, you can do so here!

My Interests

Art, philosophy, technology, sound and music. Also enjoy independent noncompetitive activities like snowboarding, etc. (I get bored of being the best at everything. ;) )

I'd like to meet:

People who are open-minded and interested in living. Intellectual or street smart, advanced or simple, progressive or traditional. All I ask is that you're honest with yourself, and with me. We'll get along well enough if you don't like drama, aside from the silver screen.

Naturally, I am always looking for people with whom to share the love of music. Or if you know of any books that I should read, I'd love to hear about them.

Music:

Banco De Gaia, William Orbit, FSOL, Desert Sol, Sunshine, Shpongle, Juno Reactor, DJ Signify, Lyrics Born, the Stone Roses, Sisters of Mercy, Thrill Kill Kult, Bob Marley, Massive Attack, Lamb, Cream, Enya, Coldcut, Boards of Canada, Billie Holiday, The KLF, Orbital, Plump DJs, The Who, Smiths, Tones On Tail, Tchaikovsky, Radiohead, Robert Fripp, Brian Eno, Bill Laswell, The Clash, CircleSquare, Tipper....

The list is never-ending.

Movies:

City of Lost Children, The Fountain, Pi, Amelie, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Monty Python, Brazil, Contact, Human Traffic, Ghost in the Shell, The Matrix (first one), Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Mars Attacks!, Pulp Fiction, The Usual Suspects, geez....

This list could go on for a while, too.

Books:

Imajica, Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World, A Wild Sheep Chase, The Alchemist, Ishmael, One Hundred Years of Solitude, The Book of Frank, The Lord of the Rings (yeah, and the Hobbit, too), Animal Farm, How To Know God: The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali. And the all too rare Bee Eye Bee Ell Ee.

Don't expect much, avoid disappointment.

Don't expect anything, that way you won't be disappointed.  I've said it.  I've heard it said to me. Like everything, it's multifacetted.  For instance, yes, it protects one's feelings....
