About Me

..
So, back to college life for Guppy.
Monterey is cool, although technically CSUMB is in Marina. Monterey is like 18 minutes away, Carmel is about 20, Seaside 10, etc.
It's funny- Monterey is like a souped-up, more touristy version of Mendo, Carmel is like a bigger version of a mix between Little River & Westport, Seaside is a bigger version of Fort Bragg- like, Seaside would be the bastard love child of Fort Bragg and Santa Rosa. Pacific Grove reminds me of Elk, only bigger with more rich people. Marina is like a Willits by the sea. Still beautiful all over, though. And Santa Cruz/Capitola/Aptos are right there, too. Very easy transition for a little 'ol Mendo county boy like yours truly to make... which is good, because I intend to stick around this area for a long while. =)
On to the water: IT'S REALLY COLD!!! Mind you, I've lived in Mendo for 10 years, and I'm acclimatized to our water, so a place this much further south should have relatively warmer water, right? NO, FIRST-HAND ACCOUNT: IT'S FRIGGIN' COLD! Maybe because I've been on Catalina Island all this time, and I have to get used to a cold ocean all over again, but I swear, the water here is NIPPLE. Colder than a witch's tittie. It has to do with the shape of the coastline here, the bathymetry, the submarine canyon here, etc. Needless to say, it's back to 5mm full wetsuit, hoodie, booties, cold water wax on my surfboard...
On the other hand, the kelp forests here ROCK!!! I got my Advanced Open Water Scuba certification a while back, so I plan on diving tons here.
There's also a ton of other cool things to do- lots of cool beaches, hiking, exploring... If you're into the city-sights thing, Monterey and Carmel have TONS to see and do (and then there's the beaches!), Big Sur is pretty close by, with its cool forests and... oh yeah the kick-ass beaches!!!
So if you guys are in the area at all, we should hang out! Play in the water, go see a show, go to SF (which isn't THAT far), go check out a museum, go hiking, go to a movie, bike around Cannery Row, go to a bar, throw darts, do a crossword puzzle, go for a bike ride, play videogames-- or just hang out or SOMEthing. Ya? Ya. Okido, peace out everybody.

The Zombie Movie Survival Quiz

Francesco Dellamorte is your name, and killing zombies is your game. Living at Buffalora Cemetery, where the dead rise quite frequently, you know how to take care of zombies. Yes, you are definitely a bad ass. Too bad your sexy model girlfriend is a zombie.

You Are Kermit
Hi, ho! Lovable and friendly, you get along well with everyone you know.
You're a big thinker, and sometimes you over think life's problems.
Don't worry - everyone know's it's not easy being green.
Just remember, time's fun when you're having flies! The Muppet Personality Test

Which Trainspotting Character Are You?

Your Element Is Water
A bit of a contradiction, you can seem both lighthearted and serious.
That's because you're good at going with the flow - but you also are deep.

Highly intuitive, you tune in to people's emotions and moods easily.
You are able to tap into deep emotional connections and connect with others.

You prefer a smooth, harmonious life - but you can navigate your way around waves.
You have a knack for getting people to get along and making life a little more peaceful. What's Your Element?

The Movie Of Your Life Is A Cult Classic
Quirky, offbeat, and even a little campy - your life appeals to a select few.
But if someone's obsessed with you, look out! Your fans are downright freaky.
Your best movie matches: Office Space, Showgirls, The Big Lebowski If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be?

Television:

I haven't had telly for like... I dunno, ask my brother Michael. I think we haven't had t.v. since... 1998? Somewhere there? I rent series from t.v. though, and I dig cartoons, documentaries, funny t.v. series... but I'm sorta outta the loop when it comes to t.v. shit. I love the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, though- stuff like Mythbusters, Dirty Jobs, The Crocodile Hunter... And when I *do* get into t.v. series, I have this thing where I want to see huge chunks of the show at once; like watching a full season. So I get the complete series or complete seasons of stuff like, Firefly, Arrested Development, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, Clone High, Rocko's Modern Life. *shrug*

Books:

This list will be OBSCENELY long... like 4 or 5 times longer than the movie list. (If you couldn't tell already, I'm a bit of a nerd.) So right now I'm not gonna do it. Always put off for tomorrow what you can do today! Yay procrastination! SLACKER POWER!

But seriously, name a book-- I've probably read it.

Heroes:

Steve Zissou! And Francesco Dellamorte! XD
You Are Expressionism
Moody, emotional, and even a bit angsty... you certainly know how to express your emotions.
At times, you tend to lack perspective on your life, probably as a result of looking inward too much.
This introspection does give you a flair for the dramatic. And it's even maybe made you cultivate some artistic talents!
You have a true artist's temperament... which is a blessing and a curse. What Art Movement Are You?
You Are 20 Years Old
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.
13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.
30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!
40 : You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. What Age Do You Act?

Wow, its been a while.
