Usagi Tsukino was just another normal fourteen year old girl on her way to Juuban Junior High one sunny morning...or so she thought. On her way, she happened to spot a group of young boys hurting a small black cat. After yelling at the boys, Usagi went to check if the cat was okay. Usagi noticed two Band-Aids on the cat's forehead, overlapping one another to form an X. Curious, Usagi removed them to find a bright, gold marking that looked exactly like a crescent moon. The cat leapt away, Usagi realized she would be late for school, and ran off.After a hard day at school, Usagi was happy to return home and take a nap, having completely forgotten about that morning's events. While she drifted off to sleep, a small shadow appeared, creeping along the floor and bed as the window creaked open. Usagi turned over to see what was going on, and then, standing on her bed, she saw the same black cat from before. Scared and still half asleep, Usagi jumped out of her bed and backed away. Just when Usagi thought this was as strange as it could get, the cat opened it's mouth, and spoke. The cat's name was Luna. Luna told Usagi she was no ordinary girl, that she was really a warrior of love and justice. Usagi thought she was going crazy, and didn't believe a word of what Luna was telling her. To prove to Usagi that she was telling the truth, Luna gave her a magical brooch, and told her to say, "Moon Prism Power, MakeUP!" Usagi did as she was told, and sure enough, Luna was telling the truth. Usagi transformed into Bishoujo Senshi SailorMoon.Usagi, although brave when the occasion calls for it, is really a ditzy, lazy, boy crazed girl who couldn't care less about studying for school and would much rather play video games all day long. Usagi attends Juuban Junior High throughout most of the series and moves up to Juuban High in the last season. If it wasn't for her friends, Usagi probably would have never passed Junior High. They encourage her to attend study groups and try to get her to do her homework. However, it's hard enough to get Usagi to stop daydreaming let alone get her to do school work. Although Usagi might seem like a nightmare for some, she also knows what really counts. She is a loyal, trustworthy friend who will always try to put a smile on your face. That's fairly easy. It's hard to be sad when Usagi is around. She greets new people with an open heart and a big smile. She never judges a person, and will always give them a second chance...or two, or three. This kind of attitude wins over just about everyone in Usagi's life. You have to try very hard to get on Usagi's bad side. This mostly happens only when someone threatens to harm her loved ones. Usagi is very protective and would give her life if it meant saving a friend in danger. Even then, Usagi does not wish to see the evil in her enemy. She believes everyone is good deep down, and will normally try to save her enemy along with the people she cares for.
