There's only one way to find out

About Me

I like smiling and laughing and the MOUNTAIN SCHOOL!! YEAH SPRING '04!! I'm 100% Derby girl, so watch out 'cause you never know what's going to happen next!! I love my family, the real one and the LS4G swim team, because without them school would suck. Swimmers make my life beautiful. If you see a girl with hairy legs, it means one of two things: either she's a swimmer or she's a hippy. I'm a little of both and a whole lot more--I'm up for doing anything that could be funny and it takes a lot to embarass me. But don't ask me to be artistic. I'm about as artistic as a rock. But I bake the world's best chocolate chip cookies!!! So if you have a stupid joke or want to talk, IM me: murasakipenguin!!

My Interests

Partying like the wild woman that I am, anything Japanese, swimming, field hockey, knitting, being the swim team mom, being a history dork (and proud of it!) and a member of the Laurel QU!!

Music:

If I can sing along and dance, it's pretty much a given that I like it. But specifically, I like Melissa Etheridge, Michelle Branch, Maroon 5, Melissa Ferrick (and I guess Ani DiFranco every now and then), Billy Joel, Japanese pop, and the occasional rap/R&B song...Can we say Drop it like it's Hot?

Movies:

Anything by Hayao Miyazaki--Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Nausicaa Valley of the Wind especially--and I'm not one of those weird anime junkies who have no friends or lives and spend all their time in their basements, but what can I say? Some anime is good. I also like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Pirates of the Caribbean (Johnny!), Finding Nemo, Breakfast at Tiffany's...and you know what? Meet the Fockers is REALLY funny. But don't ever EVER EVER watch Kissing Jessica Stein. It looks like it should be cute and funny--and I'm not going to lie, the storyline is a cute idea--but as a movie it SUCKS!!! Furbi says I'm movie illiterate...and maybe I am...but hey, just because I don't know random eighties movies doesn't mean I'm stupid...

Television:

Umm...I don't watch TV. You got a problem with that?

Books:

I wish I had time to read outside of school. But thanks to good old LS4G...not so muchSee what Care Bear you are.

Heroes:

The anonymous man in the jeep who pulled my car out of a ditch the morning of Orange Relays--he's a SAINT. 'Nuff said. And Sparky Sturges!!!! Because of her personal best at PSL's (which is because you-know-who is you-know-what).

Fun and games with Nonie

I realized the other day that because I'm not old enough to do farm crew at TMS and because I don't know where I'm going to college, the rest of my life is completely blank. Isn't that crazy? Nonie ...

AMAZING--EVERYONE SHOULD SEE

I just saw the play "Tuesdays with Morrie" and it was incredibly good. There are only two actors, one of whom is Morrie, who is dying, and the other is Mitch, one of his students from when he taught a...
