The Digs

When you act like that...

About Me

"The Digs" photo by Mary Monolator
Our show at Pehrspace with The Karrabal Nightlife and others was reviewed by M. Wesley for the online magazine Psychedelic LA Underground. Here's what they had to say about us:

Rounding out the musical portion of the evening sometime around midnight was The Digs, and I felt god-damned ashamed of all the idiots that just had to rush off to bed and couldn’t stick around for the last act—including “The Hybrid” whom I’d ordered thrown out of the venue. Top to bottom, The Digs are a professional act with Psychedelic, old-school country, folk and all around Americana roots. They gave us a flawless set and ended with something like a southern rock acid jam that lasted for several minutes, and sent bass guitarist Scott [Halper], one of the best bass guitarists the City of Los Angeles has ever turned out, atop his bass amp showing off what one can do with an intellectual insight into music theory and the soul of an artist—and finally compelling him to prod at the acoustic tiled ceiling with his guitar at the close. When their set ended and the lights finally flicked on, I felt mistreated and horn-swaggled—a show like this should not end for several more hours, but as young as the night was, I was still looking forward to the many after parties on the night’s chopping-block.

"Tight, yet also scrappy and great... They have a natural style that is intelligent and edgy and rockin' fun at the same time."-- Philip Minehan , author

"The Digs are a groovy soundscape from the antique-future featuring Patrick Cleary."--Sir Geoff Insley
