About Me

You know, life is an incredible ride. It's great to do what you love, get paid for it, and to have family and friends around to have fun. I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Always wanted to leave and see the bigger city - now I live in LA. Don't know very many people here except my brother, Ronnie, co-workers and an old friend or two. LA is huge but it can be a lonely place. I love it here though. Whenever I go back home to Broken Arrow, I find I miss the quiet simple life. I like the half empty parking lots and no lines.

I've been reading "Voluntary simplicity: toward a way of life that is outwardly simple, inwardly rich." On the flip side of that, I've been waking up to Howard Stern every morning. I am looking for new experiences, trying to figure out what makes me tick, wondering if there's a career I could enjoy more than the one I have...although my job is an incredible privilege.

Now I have to find some friends to add...

My Interests

Music - trying to play the guitar, movies, finance, working out, running, playing outside.
Doctors Without Borders, volunteering.

Procrastinating by trying to decide if I'd rather be a pediatric cardiologist or a neonatologist.

Figuring out how to be more efficient so I can be more lazy.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: sleeping.

I'd like to meet:

Old friends, new friends...

Those that raise the bar in whatever they do.
Anyone who cares and is simple!
People with passion and zest - you know - soap in the shower.

Firecrackers. Visionaries. The unafraid. Unassuming people.
A sweet smile. The courageous who are undaunted by life.
Someone who makes me laugh, who will take me along for the ride without reservation.

A new friend. A fierce luminary, challenging but gentle and kind.
Someone who will show me who they really are.

Music:

I like everything.

Movies:

My favorite is "Dead Poets' Society" but I can't watch it very often - it's too sad. Comedies.

My new year's resolutions

Maybe if I post my new year's resolutions here, I'll actually keep them after today: 1.) Clean my apartment for at least 5 minutes every day (that I'm not on call).  (If you ever saw my place, yo...

The end of an era

Frequently called the "shock jock," Howard Stern who has long been the man of my mornings, is moving from terrestrial broadcasting to a new gig in satellite radio.  Damn, I'm broke and can't affo...

The color of orgasm

The silver tin shows through the cracked pink powder in my rubber makeup compact.  I flip it over to suprisingly discover the name of the blush I use is "Orgasm."  Online, I try to figure ou...

Fleur d'Oranger

So the question was, "what would you do if you won the lottery?" I said, among many other things, "buy the scent of orange blossoms from Tunisia in a bottle." Mimi and Laide thought bottling an orange...

"You're not dead?"

I overslept this morning.  Good thing I was already in the elevator at the hospital at 8:30a. when someone finally paged me.  I called back and the greeting was, "You're not dead?"  This is the only r...
