Atlanta, GA Barry Brandon has been singing, dancing and making people laugh for longer than he can remember. Victorious through seven open-heart surgeries and countless invasive experimental procedures, he now feels it is time to claim his place in the music world. Barry Brandon has performed in various outlets for the past 15 years and now brings his talents to a broader audience.
Aptly named, The Musical Theatre Album," his debut CD showcases a number of today's most popular and lesser-known musical theatre pieces, sung with a slight twist unique to his favorite sound. The official CD release party is set for Aug. 24 at Actors Express in Atlanta GA, with an after-party to be announced. In addition to the CD release party, Barry has lined up performances at many Starbucks locations throughout Atlanta, as well as a 30-minute set at Outwrite Bookstore.
With the release of The Musical Theatre Album comes HART, a charitable organization that will raise funds to aid uninsured families with cardiac-related medical bills. HART will be officially incorporated by late August. In addition to HART, Barry Brandon will work with the Gay/Straight Alliance to remain active with and give back to the gay community.
