About Me

I'm a self-taught, hard-working DJ/Remixer looking for gigs throughout the world. I've spun throughout Florida, including clubs like Tampa's famous Amphitheater and Chrome. Currently, I am the resident for Saturday's Dark Dance @ Club 714 in Ybor City, Tampa's historic Cuban district. I've also held residencies at Grand Central Station & The Platform (St Petersburg, FL), The Male Room (Tampa), and the famous Sunday T-Dance @ Suncoast Resort (St Petersburg, FL), home of the largest Sunday T-Dance in Florida.I've played private events of a hundred or so partiers, to the Sunday T-Dances @ Suncoast Resort, where it was typical to get 3000 people. Special events @ Suncoast (New Years Eve, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th) would see up to 10,000 people dancing on balconies, around the pool and throughout the grounds.A few major highlights for me have been events like St Petersburg Pridefest (spinning before over 70,000 people at the Sirius Satellite Radio Tent in 2007), Heineken's Center of Gravity Party in Oranjestadt,Aruba in 2006, and working Sarasota Pridefest with Jennifer Holiday and Shannon in 2003 andMartha Wash in 2004, and finally with Crystal Waters at Club 714 in April 2008.I've spun for several internet radio stations including G.I.R.L. (www.gayinternetradiolive.com), where my show CIRCUITRY was the top-rated show my 14 month residency, www.Tagartmusic.com, and www.muzophile.com.I believe in professionalism in my life and work, and demonstrate it by being early to events, treating my crowd with respect, and doing my best to fulfill requests from everyone. As a DJ, it's my job to get the party started, keep the party going, and adapt as the crowd requires. Playing to the crowd and keeping an eye on what is working is key and demands a quick mind, a large music library, and the ability to adapt. Influences: Musically, my influences have been many. From my days as a child listening to Chicago, Led Zepellin, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, and Heart...to my days of listening to Iron Maiden, Queen, Aerosmith.Dancing has always been one of my favorite ways to express myself and DJ'ing became a way that I could better control what I was dancing to. The DJ's that I loved hearing live, and who I learned a lot from watching and listening to are Danny Tenaglia, Junior Vasquez, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer. I still try to learn something new when I listen to another DJ's compilation CDs or their remixes, so I can take what that knowledge and morph it into my own style. Tony Moran, Manny Lehman, Rosabel (Abel & Ralphi Rosario) and Paulo are US based DJ's that I enjoy. I also like the work of international stars like Jaimy, Demu Mix, Rafael Lelis, Edson Pride, Luis Erre, E-Thunder to name a few.By listening and appreciating a wide range of music, I can incorporate the different styles and genres into my sets. While I love a good tribal set, being able to blend it with classic anthems and progressive house, with a little trance thrown in for spice make my sets upbeat, ever-changing, and a journey for the crowd.
