"Shannon
Marie has always been passionate about music. From the time she was little
she was performing in different musical groups. One of her first experiences
with sharing her music with people across the country and Canada was when
she auditioned and performed with a group called the Young Continentals.
After becoming part of the group she was asked to sing on their "Give
Em Hope" album, released in 1998.
As Shannon Marie entered high school she continued to stretch her musical
talent by auditioning for elite choirs and earning a concert mistress
position in both the school and district orchestras. After being voted
"most likely to succeed in music" she continued her musical
education in college.
She attended a small college in Alamosa, Colorado called Adams State College.
While pursuing an elementary education degree with an emphasis in music
she was able to participate in many different performing groups. She was
one of the vocalists selected for the jazz ensemble 68 West, she sat first
chair in the college's chamber orchestra, and she was captain of the Adams
State College Dance team. Due to her musical reputation she was asked
to choreograph the local high schools choirs and musicals.
Since arriving in Nashville Shannon Marie has performed at the Fiddle
and Steel, Legends Corner, Crossroads, Nashville Palace, and Wildhorse
Saloon. She has also been seen in CMTs new show "Karaoke Dokey."
She has recently begun singing with a local band and is planning to put
out a full album in the spring of 2008.
Shannon Marie has always been a versatile vocalist and performer. Shannon
Marie's talents go beyond singing and playing the guitar, fiddle, and
piano. Her creativity is endless".
