Formerly known as Sutter Kain (2000-2006), the Plattsburgh, NY, area's most rocking band changed their name and musical direction in May 2006. Threatend was over-whelmingly well-received and immediately gathered a fervid following of loyal and new fans which spurred them on to release their first original, full-length CD in April 2007. Unfortunately, original singer and rhythm guitarist Max Gerstenberger had to leave the band for personal reasons but agreed to stay on until Threatend could find a new vocalist. Remaining members, Pete Jarvis (Lead Guitar - Tupper Lake, NY), Ivan McNamara (Bass - Saranac Lake, NY), and T Kilroy (Drums - Rouses Point, NY), immediately began the arduous task to find a new front man. After months of disappointments, Matt Farrell (Vocals - Saranac Lake, NY) was recruited and joined the band in early February 2008. Leon Jessie (Rhythm Guitar/Backing Vocals - Tupper Lake, NY), the original Sutter Kain bassist/backing vocalist, was recently recruited to fill the last remaining gap and to round out the sound. Now that the line-up is finally complete, Threatend is now creating an even more powerful, sonically intense sound that will surely impress. Get ready for the all-new Threatend to burst on to the scene at a venue near you. Stay tuned..!
Threatend's debut CD was released in April 2007 and features 10 tracks and original singer Max Gerstenberger on vocals. With the help of MySpace and the release of this CD, Threatend continues to build a fervid following of fans across the globe.
