Born in Toronto, Ontario and growing up in Whitby, Dj Riccachet &
Dj Thera-P can remember listening to their parents record collection and even scratching the very same records on their Fisher Price turntable since the age of 4 and 5. They've had a love for music at a very young age listening to their Uncle Neil play the guitar in his band and even introducing them to his own record collection.Their love for hip hop came at the age of 10 and 11 when their older friends had introduced them to Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, Kid n Play, the Fat Boys and LL Cool J. From that point on, they knew that this was the music that they wanted to here. Still fascinated by vinyl, they set out to start they're own collection as DJs.Not satisfied with just listening to the music, Dj Riccachet & Dj Thera-P wanted to contribute to the culture of hip hop. By the ages of 14 and 15, they bought they're first set of belt drive turntables as well as receiving a Radio Shack mixer for Christmas. It was with this equipment that they learned to show determination and patience when it came to mixing and scratching.Influenced by Jam Master Jay, Dj Cash Money and Dj Jazzy Jeff, the Sweet Touch Foundation sought to build on their scratching skills as well. Turntablism became a big part of their lives and they incorporate it each and every time they touch down on the turntables. The Sweet Touch Foundation have showcased they're unique style of mixing and dope cuts at various events and parties. Dj Riccachet & Dj Thera-P are always playin' those classic jointz while at the same time keepin they're ear to the street when it comes to new music. They are versatile when it comes to their selection of music and they are focused on keeping deejaying an art form while using it as a way to express theyre skills and love for the music.
