I'd have to say I am a pretty lucky guy. I am living a happy fun life with a wonderful family. My wife is an awesome person, a great wife and an wonderful caring mom. We have a beautiful baby girl, Lindsey, who will be 4 in September and a great son who just turned 16. He has his car now and we don't see much of him anymore.I was born in Ft. Worth Texas and moved to Branson Missouri when I was nine. I had started playing the drums at a very young age learning from my Grandfather, Dad and Uncle who were all drummers. I received my first drumset at the age of "one" and never set the sticks down. In 1982 my sister and I were hired to perform at the Starlite Theater with Chisai Childs. My mom packed us up and moved us to Branson. After a few years we moved back to Ft. Worth and joined up with a group of kids from Texas called The Texas Gold Minors (minors meaning all under age). This group moved to Branson in 1989 and began performing. This group brought several great musicians out of it. Wyatt Beard, keyboards, now with Kenny Chesney and sings most of Kenny's harmonies on his hits. Brian Spradlin, guitar, now with Joe Nichols. Jon Conlee, guitar, was with Wynonna, Leanne Rimes and Lee Greenwood. Nancy Henson, fiddle, worked with Ray Stevens and Charlie Pride. Erica Bussey, vocals, went with Mickey Gilley and is now in Nashville working on a new record deal. Clay Cooper, bass and M/C, went with Country Tonite and now has his own theater in Branson. Kelly Jackson (my sister), vocals, was with Johnny Lee. She now has her own band in Branson and on a new show at the Mickey Gilley Theater. Needless to say, some great musicians grew up together. I left the group in 1996 to go to Nashville. I was on tour with an artist named Stephanie Bentley. She had a few songs hit the charts but her biggest claim to fame is songwriting. She wrote Breathe (Faith Hill) and Concrete Angel (Martina McBride). When that tour ended, I went back to work in Branson where I drummed for several different shows and artist. Joe Nichols, Country Tonite, Buck Trent, Jeannie Pruett, The Hughes Brothers, Johnny Lee, Helen Cornelius, Leona Williams, The Brett Family, Down Home Country, The White House Theater and I played for the Jim Bakker TV Show filmed in Branson. This is where I ran into the job I have today. The producer of the TV show, Rodney Dillard, is great friends with Tony Orlando. He hooked me up with Tony and the Lefty Brothers band to go to Vegas for a few weeks as a fill in drummer. I worked my few weeks and then they offered me the fulltime job at the end of January. I have now been with Tony for 3 1/2 years and having a blast. What a way to see the country!!!! You can see it in my pictures. That's just a bit of my life history.
