Gardening, traveling and restaurant hopping. I'd like to add exercising but I have not been consistent with a routine.
My maternal great-grandparents because I've grown up seeing their B&W photographs and would love to hear them tell the family history. My paternal grandmother because I've been told we spent lots of time together, yet I have no memory of her; she died when I was very young. I'd like to hear her voice and get to know her idiosyncrasies.
Jazz is my favorite but I have a very eclectic taste in sounds: R&B, Rap, Gospel, Standards, Country, Classical, Soul...you name it and I can probably hum/sing parts if not all of it.
"The DaVinci Code" is a great movie that weaves biblical and historical fact with fiction. It should stir many passionate conversations and cause persons to consult their Bible as a source of reference. "Tombstone" is a wonderfully exciting cowboy flick. You're sure to fall for the strong characters portrayed by many great actors. Doc Holiday was my favorite, "I'm you'r huckleberry."
"Grey's Anatomy," "Will & Grace," "CSI Miami," "The Unit," are all favorites of mine. I don't know exactly when they come on, but it seems that I usually happen to tune into the correct channel at the right time....most times.
My lastest topic was about leadership, "Urban School Reform" by Frederick M. Hess
One who is much admired or shows great courage- My girlfriends Tracey of Philadelphia, Brenda & Dawn of Cincinnati. All of these ladies are very talented, knowledgeable & have lots of experiences. I'm blessed to have them in my corner. Thurgood Marshall- his tenure as a Justice on the United States Supreme Court has helped shape the nation's laws and perceptions of Blacks by shattering sterotypes. Mahata Ghandi- stood up against British rule in India, Mother Theresa- opposed the status quo to help leapers, and Nelson Mandela- rebuked apartheid in South Africa.
