Television:
I don't have a whole lot of time to watch TV. Given the opportunity, though, I'm big on Law & Order: SVU, Nip/Tuck, The Simpsons, Best Week Ever, The Office, Family Guy, The Soup, South Park, SNL, Mad TV, Human Giant ... I really miss The State. If I wake up early, you know I watch Saved By the Bell. I'm such a nerd.
Books:
Too many ... The Other Side of Midnight, Memories of Midnight (and most other Sidney Sheldon novels), A Land Remembered, Ender's Game, Angelina Jolie: Notes from My Travels, Sister Carrie, An Inconvenient Truth, ANYTHING by Judy Blume, Wuthering Heights, She's Come Undone, V.C. Andrews novels (that is, the ones back in the day that were actually written by V.C. Andrews), The Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged, Where the Heart Is, Memoirs of a Geisha (read it years ago and have not yet seen the movie), Butterfly, Bastard Out of Carolina, Claiming Georgia Tate, Places I Never Meant to Be, The Story of Ruth, Romeo and Juliet, Hick, My Point ... And I Do Have One, The Rapture of Canaan, Second Star to the Right, Roots, Playground of the Gods, Promise Me, Disco Bloodbath, anything by Elizabeth Berg, Beauty Queen (which has nothing whatsoever to do with pageants or beauty queens but is highly reccommended; it's haunting and real), The Best Little Girl in the World, An Underground Education, Universal Beauty: The MISS UNIVERSE Guide to Beauty, Lies My Teacher Told Me, Bunny Tales, How I Live Now, The Tempest, Stick Figure, Pledged: The Secret Life of Sororities, Rosehaven, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, anything by James Patterson, and, of course - like any good Miami native - anything by Carl Hiaasen. He's a genius.
Honorable mentions ( A.K.A. old school favorites): "The Monster at the End of this Book," by Grover, Tuck Everlasting, "The Babysitters Club" series (all 124 of them), Wait 'Til Helen Comes, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, The Giving Tree, Where the Sidewalk Ends, The Polar Express, A Light in the Attic, Tales of the Brothers Grimm, The Dark Way: Stories from the Spirit World, Flowers in the Attic, Love You Forever, Charlotte's Web, The Jolly Postman, A Little Princess, Miss Nelson is Missing!, Harriet the Spy, Where the Wild Things Are, Matilda, The Witches, Goodnight Moon, The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Night, The Education of Little Tree, The Girl Who Married the Moon: Tales from Native North America, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, The Runaway Bunny, Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade
Heroes:
Wilma Mankiller - the first female chief of the Cherokee Nation. She not's only involved in tribal issues, but she's also focused on addressing international women’s rights, as well as commonly held stereotypes and the role of Native American women in their communities. She stresses the need for women in leadership roles, and I think she's really helping to redefine feminism. Also, Angelina Jolie - she can be described in a lot of ways by a lot of different eople, but, in my opinion, she most remarkably is an example of a public figure who chooses to use her success and fame to help others, raise awareness of important world issues, and actually attempt to make a real difference. There are very few public figures - especially celebrities - who can realistically claim to do the same.

Whether it's in thunderstorms, or swimming in rivers or the ocean, you love it. You probably have a great connection with society or your friends, and are a loving, helpful, and most of all, BEAUTIFUL creature.
Your gorgeous and exotic face is complemented by your powerfully feminine body. Your beauty has the power to both bring tranquility or take men to the depths of madness.
Just as the ocean can be calm and breathtaking, your talents are unique and are a blessing to those around you. But sometimes the ocean is dark, myserious, or stormy, which also reflect your emotions.
Role-
They were depicted as beautiful maidens, often riding on the backs of Hippokampoi (Fish-tailed horses), Ketoi (Sea-monsters) or dolphins.
Symbols-
Water (naw, really?!), seashells, nymphs, helpers of Poseidon.
Story-
There are several different types of Nymphs in Greek Mythology, but they are usually helpers and assistants to the gods. Nymphs had the divine power of changing the shape of things, and were agressive yet highly skilled lovers. Nymphs are always with their companions (which is why you are so social) and were kind to sailors in trouble (which is why you are so nice.)
