I was born in Kannapolis, N.C. on July 4th, 1980; the birth of fire. Although I started writing in 1993, music was always my nitch. Since day one I've known what I was put on Earth to do; and thats to give people exactly what they wanna hear!
Stompin Grounds
As a teen, I attended A.L. Brown High School. I earned my rank by battling a variety of M.C.'s with ease anywhere from classrooms, hallways,bathrooms,local events,parties,artist lounges, and as well as in the streets.Using an Eastcoast style with dirty south slang, I quickly became a cypher runner.As time progressed, I collaborated with numerous skilled M.C.'s throughout the N.C. burrow while simutaniously building a team and a family!
Da Fam
In 1993 I linked up with my boy & ace(Milli) bka Mastamind to form the duo (P.O.W.) bka Prisoners of war.
On the real, we aint have nothing but a couple of instumentals on tape & a hand held recorder but we twirked with what we had. As we studio hopped & linked with other local artist, we started to understand just what this whole rap game is about...... DETICATION-CONNECTIONS-HUNGER & LEARNING MORE SKILLS......dA mORE yOU kNOW, tHE lESS yOU'LL oWE !
As Milli and I both grew as strong individuals, we realized that we had generated a very large fan base over a very short period of time. We got down 2 business & started to make connections with some of the local radio stations in the surrounding areas.While attending one of the local battles, Milli & I linked up with a cat the was eating the freestyle/radio scene alive.At that time ,he was (Sleepy Eyez) but now yall know him as the infamous (Supreme).He was accompanied by a cat known as B.K.N.C. bka Da Rhyme Automatic, in which we also linked with to form.................
FIGGA 4 ENTERTAINMENT SHIF-T, MILLI, BKNC & SUPREME
Now a man, growing both mentally & physically while learning from my mistakes, I have accomplished many task that have aided to my knowledge and experience in da game.
I have participated in such events as SENIOR PRODUCTION at A.L.Brown high school & a TALENT SHOWCASE at the Grady Cole Center in 1997. The OFFICIAL OPENING ACT CONTEST at SummerFest of 1999. GREENVILLE FESTIVAL, COCA COLA JAM FEST, and a MANIFEST RECORDS TALENT SHOWCASE IN 2000.Also I performed at a TALENT SHOWCASE hosted by Uncontrolable Records, while touring with the BREAKFAST BROTHERS MORNING SHOW in the STOP THE VIOLENCE TOUR with Power 98 (wpeg .fm) for a couple of years.In 2003 I performed at the CRICKET ARENA in the Queen City Talent Search,Celebration Station & shows at Caudwell Park (Concord,N.C.),Hidden Valley park with (Power 98) as well, also at CLUB EXTRAVAGANZA (Charlotte,N.C.). In 2004 I performed at the EVENING MUSE & Held the title of the Freestyle Champ at PHAT CITY (till the club was no more).
Soon afterwards, I decided to open my own studio (Da Lab-Kannapolis,N.C.) where Figga 4 & alot of other artist began to construct multiple colaborations ( singles, albums & mixtapes, etc.)!While rapidly excelling in the skill of recording, I quickly grew to become a very strong asset to the family.I decided to start producing a couple series of mixtapes just to see the effect it would have on the game. BEHIND ENEMY LINES vol.1 & 2 and the K.P.Affiliates Mixtape vol. 1 were the jump off to my mixtape/D.J. carreer.While running with my manager & long time friend( Antonio Garrard)
, we managed to get a spot on the BREAKFAST BROTHERS MORNING SHOW'S ( DA NEXT BIG THING), where I hit'em with da smash hit single entitled" SOUTHERN THANGS".The song made it into the regular rotation so I decided to take the show on the road performing at CLUB SUADE in (Lexington,Kentucky)& at Pat's Catoring with 6 2 ENTERTAINMENT'S TALENT SHOWCASE in 2005, and also with Figga 4 at da DA BRICK TOP LOUNGE, DA BREWLERY & DA ROOM.From 7/05 to 2/06, I guess you could say that I was (M.I.A)!
He's Back
Now, MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER, I've returned to claim my throne. Since I've been home, I've just been putting plans together and making sure that they fall through. My last show was at CLUB CRUSH (Charlotte,N.C.) with Embyce from Bail Bonds Records in 4/2006, where we performed the latest single entitled(WHAT YOU WANNA DO CUZ ?) KEEP YO EARS OPEN.
I Shif-t of mind, body ,& soul; plans to take future times to the next level!
