The Corruption Committee was formed in the summer of 2000 with no experience writing, recording, mixing, or producing music. Everything from then until now has been a trial and error, learn as you go process. But that's the way they like it. There's no outside voices saying "do this that way" or "do that this way". This has allowed Chad (Fa) and Mike (Kast) to evolve into to a sound that is strictly theirs. They are just now starting to scratch the surface of the potential they have collectively and individually. Though making money from music is a goal, it is not the main objective. It's music first and money second. It's not about making the type of music that's selling at moment, it's about making music they enjoy making. And if it sells, it sells. The game will conform itself to the Committee before the Committee conform themselves to the game. The first two years were about learning the basics. Figuring out how to construct beats and flow over those beats. The end results were nothing to rave about, but the foundation was being laid for the future. In 03 Mike recorded "Weapons of Mass Corruption", the first full cd recorded by the Committee. A 14 song experiment that showed an improvement from the days on the 4-track.
But there was still a lot of work that needed to be done to accomplish the sound that was desired. They spent 2004 recording songs for 1st Class White Trash. But this cd was never put out. Instead, most of the songs were just burned on cd and handed out for people to enjoy. After recording 40 songs, and still not being satisfied, they decided to put that project to rest.In 05 Chad(Fa) recorded a 17 song album that, once again, was not put out. In the beginning of 06 Mike recorded another 10 solo songs before the two decided it was time to begin recording the debut Corruption Committee cd. So, they took 16 songs they had done the past 2 1/2 years, and put out "Introduction 2 Corruption" for free. It is still available for download at this link-------- corruption committee music -----------------Then, the two recorded "Hudafukdemiz" from Sept. 2006 to Feb. 2007. And finally released it in July of 2007. It is a solid album with songs that range from one extreme to another. From the heartfelt "Missing You" to the twisted "Voices" and everything in between. "Jackin' Off", "Goodsmoke" and "Neva Met a Bitch" are among favorites of Committee fans. With "Hudafukdemiz" out, it is time to turn it up a couple notches and begin recording the 3 albums that will be released in 2008. A new Corruption Committee cd, and a solo album each. All three will be released on their label "From the Root Entertainment".Download our music at DigStation.com
