After 20+ years of school and 5 more years ahead of me, all I can say is: I STILL WANT TO BE AN ACTRESS.
I would like to meet my FUTURE HUSBAND!
Hip Hop and R&B needs to save the children. We lost two generations of youngsters to the foolishness portrayed in music video's and lyrics. We need to reclaim our music, our youth, and secure the future of social security! We cannot let the media groom our young men and women. We gotta create and support music that makes sense. Not just music with a DANCE to match the HOOK.
My new Favorite is IDLEWILD. It shows that hip hop and R&B was not the first form of Black expression. It shows our youngsters that Blacks are historically talented in the Arts and Entertainment. I also love comedies. I also like Casino, Girl Interrupted, White Chicks, Trading places, the Thomas Crown affair, The Manchurian Candidate, and Movies where the bad guy win, like Heat and the Usual Suspect as examples.
The News (I love being informed and abreast. I also live for controversy). I love Girlfriends, Bernie Mac, Will and Grace, Golden Girls, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and of course, the news again. I also like watching the last episode of reality shows. I dont have time to follow the season.
I like self help books and books that accomplished people have written. My favorite books are the Left Behind series. Ive read all 12 of the books. Although I am a career student, I hate TEXT BOOKS. I also enjoy Black empowerment books and conspiracy theory books that expose governmental cover-ups. The Weight Loss Cure they Dont want you to know about is an excellent read. Like I said, I am a junkie for politics and knowledge.
My hero is my grandfather (who is almost 88), who survived WWII, Jim Crow, the Civil Right's era, Segregation in the South (Birmingham Alabama) the war on drugs, and has raised 4 children, 1 stepchild and a host of grandchildren in the Heart of Harlem. In addition, I admire people who have started from the ground up, people who have overcome poverty, have made millions, influenced young people, helped other people come up, have built empires and have given back. People like Oprah Winfrey, Sean Combs (he is my idol), Shawn Carter, Curtis Jackson, and countless other's who arent on TV. I also like Al Sharpton because he always stir up the pot and raise awareness. He keep politicians on their toes.
