About Me

NO "ADD ME WHORES"!!!

I like long walks on the beach, curling up next to the fire place with a good book (or a bad girl), cuddling, and long intelectual conversations.
No really, I do!

Drunken bonfires at the beach, camping out in the wilderness, sitting down at a coffee shop, browsing the book store, cracking the mysteries of the universe, just enjoying all aspects of life possible, because you're only lucky enough to get one life.

Now I know you're intimidated by the fact that I appear to be the perfect guy from my introduction, but don't let that stop you from sending me a message. I'm a pretty nice guy, i'll probably respond.

My Interests

Well... I like skating, paintball, playin guitar, watching the Science Channel, playin XBOX, Working out, playing Tennis, havin a few beers w/ the guys and just goin with the flow.
And my birthday is April 20th, 4/20 (seriously), so I sortof have to honor this privilage every once in a while.

And you thought rollerblading was easy?

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who's cool, hip, down with it, and otherwise fly.

And since everyone else is putting Celebs:
Kirk Hammett, Synister Gates, Herman Li, Jimmy Page, Jane Goodal, Brian Greene, V.S. Ramachandran, Richard Dawkins, Steven Pinker, and although impossible, Carl Sagan (R.I.P.)
Major points if you know who at least three of those people are.

The only song i've found
that can almost make me cry

..

Music:

Well I'm not gonna type out a long list of bands cuz no one would read it ne ways.

I listen to metal. I'm not too into thrash/speed metal or death metal or any of that. I like progressive, melodic speed metal, some of the lighter speed/thrash, and 70's/80's metal (except for hair-metal). I play guitar so i'm a sucker for a band with a good guitarist.

Metallica, disturbed, Iced Earth, Papa Roach, Joe Satriani, Nickleback, Pink Floyd, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, Dragonforce, Dream Theater, AC/DC and Led Zepplin are some of my favorites.

Movies:

Umm... i'm not too big of a movie buff.

Mostly Comedies. I do love a good Action and Drama flick, but a great story is only great once. You can laugh at jokes over and over again.

Television:

SCRUBS!

I've gotten SO addicted to that show. IT'S THE BEST! Just about anything played on Comedy Central. South Park, Drawn Togather, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Reno 911, The Man show (the origional) and Mad TV being top pics.
Futurama, Family Guy, Harvey Birdman, A lot of the older Adult Swim stuff.
I'm also a huge Educational Television fan. about half of my TV watching is done on The Science, Discovery, History, and National Geographic Channel. Learning about reality and the universe we live in gives me an indescribable kind of enjoyment, almost a religious feeling really.

Books:

To most of my friend's astonishment, I have actually started reading. I got bored with the programs on the learning channels, so I started reading Science books.

I havent read many yet, so my favorites are most of what I've read:

Phantoms in the Brain

VS Ramachandran

Shadows of Forgotten ancestors

Carl Sagan & Ann Durian

The Fabric of The Cosmos

Brian Greene

Intelligent Thought

Many Leading Scientists

The Ghosts of Evolution

Connie Barlow

Heroes:

Carl Sagan is one of the most inspirational men to grace this world. Trained in many Astro-sciences, and some biological sciences, he uses that knowledge with a hint of philosophy to instil passion and wonder for science and the persuit of truth in all who hear him. He took significant roles in the voyager missions that revealed the entire solar system to us, and the viking mission which revealed the surface of Mars to us. His greatest wish is to have mankind put aside it's differences and unite as the one species we really are, and set out to discover the entire cosmos, and maybe more... RIP, you are truely missed.

I can't find a clip of Carl Sagan himself saying it, but this is My favorite quote, by far.
After recieving a picture of earth taken from the voyager space craft passing Jupiter, Sagan made a book about mankind. This is a quote from his closing chapter.

Humbling Words from a Magnificent Mind

Words spoken by a truely magnificent man (who is missed), which were meant to shake the very foundation of all who heard it. A seemingly minor discovery had the deepest impact immaginable. This is hi...
