WHO IS DOT??
What's up Myspace, i scratched the bio i had written for me...i wanted to make this more personal...first off IM NOT A RAPPER!!! im an ARTIST you figure out the difference ;-) this is me...what u see is what u get...this is not just an image, so with that said, lemme talk about myself and my music..."rappers" (most of them) are too concerned about image. They have their "people" who help create their image and they spend their whole career tryna stay true to that created image...the main problem here is they get stuck in one lane...and only do one type of music b/c of that image..."gangsta rappers" only do "gangsta tracks" ... "flashy rappers" only do "flashy tracks" and etc...well me...i dont have an image nor am i looking to create one...my name is Randy Jones...my people's kno me as Dot...so i've chosen that name as my pen-name b/c i want everyone who hears my music to feel like we peoples too! so me bein' jus a regular guy...i go thru alot of different things, feelings, and at times i have very contrasting perspectives on subjects, which just means im human...and im young...i wanna be right with God, and i go thru my spells where im doing real good...then with all the temptations in life i go thru my bad spells like any typical "nigga" from da hood...and yes i do say "nigga" and all those other words that the Rev. Al Sharpton and others are tryna remove from music...afterall music should be primarily an expression of one's self...not some cleaned up bs JUST for others' liking...(listen to "tryin' 2 express myself") sooo....you'll get a variety of different types of music...i can't be labeled and i change lanes like a 2 seater on da freeway :-) so don't flip ya wig when u hear a song about me telling a woman to keep her head up...then the next track is about me bustin' a cap in that woman's husband...lol...(jk but that's jus an example) that means that's what mentality i was in at da time...i make music...from 1st-person non-fictional...to 3rd person fictonal...but i guarentee someone somewhere will enjoy it...b/c of my style my fanbase varies...i can make a track for a school girl to dance to at her prom...then turnaround and make a riot breakout outside the club...das jus me :-) hate it or love it...but for the haters...jus let it be known this is nothing new...think of the late greats...marvin gaye...u got "Let's get it on" then on a whole other vibe "whats going on" - 2Pac Shakur (my idol by da way) u got "Brenda's Got a Baby" which pretty much sheds light on sexuality being negative and other aspects...then 2 year's later he topped the charts again with "I get around" ?? both dope ass songs tho...b/c tupac shakur didnt have to follow an image...he was a person first...blessed with the ability to bring to life ANY situation, ANY perspective...ANY issue...whether it was his views or not...they were someone's and everyone can't express them with the same poetic creativity as pac, and myself...this is why we as artist have fans, b/c everone can't do this but that doesnt mean they shouldn't have music that they can relate to...so as artist we can't be so selfish to jus stick to one lane...so thru my music...i want to touch as many people as possible....HATE IT OR LOVE...im jus tryin' 2 express myself...and if u think some of what i've said is a contradiction to something else i've said...u'r probably right...lol...but this is ME! also, ladies im taken...by the lovely lady below...so please don't disrespect me or my girl by saying something...it's ok to enjoy what u hear...or even see...but just keep it copasthetic... :-)
