About Me

Was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Started playing the drumset at 14 (although there are some pictures of him drumming at 3). Studied drumset, percussion, ensemble and piano with the best teachers in Buenos Aires (Fernando Martinez, Pepi Taveira, Ernesto Jodos, Pollo Raffo, etc). Played professionally with jazz, rock and world music bands and started teaching privately. Toured Southamerica and Europe with some of them. Founded his own trio "Lila". Graduated from Escuela de Musica Contemporanea in BA and got the highest Schollarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Moved to Boston in 2004. Met, studied and played with such musicians as Joe Lovano, Hal Crook, Terry Lynn Carrington, Jamie Haddad, Ian Froman, Kenwood Dennard, Ed Tomassi, Greg Hopkins, the late Herb Pomeroy, Jim Black, and the list goes on and on. Got the Louis Bellson award, and Berklee achievement schollarship. Studied Indian Tabla, Framedrum, Latin and Brazilian percussion. Most important bands were Bim Clatox, The Abraham Lincoln Brigade, Trike, and lots of great musician-friends. Teaches privately in Boston. Toured Europe, Asia and the U.S. Moved to L.A. for a short while to play for Royal Caribbean Cruiseline. Returned to Argentina in 2007. Teaches private lessons, Advanced Rythmic Concepts Seminars and Ensemble classes. Some of the projects he is involved nowadays include: Les Amateurs (Experimental Jazz/Rock/Pop), Nacho Rodriguez Trio (Improvised acoustic Rock), Polaco Sunshine (Emotional Surreallistic Music), Faca (Lo-Fi Songrwriting), etc. Contact Facundo Flores.
