I don't need your sycophantic laughter! I have some on tape.

About Me

Argh. I am way tired from answering all the stuff over on the left thar. Plus I do not believe myself to be quirky, witty, or candid looking enough in photos to be much good at myspace... But look out, here comes the airplane: I've been many things - an office slave, a camp counselor, a waitress, a nanny, a student, a baker, an artist... and now I'm a teacher, who is trying to make a difference in the lives of children and make the world a better place, all the while realizing how ridiculously cliche that sounds. And coming to grips, since it's been a few months now, with the fact that I was gloriously idealistic going into the whole thing. I mean, geez, maybe while I'm at it, I'll cure cancer, end world hunger, make all the world's tuna dolphin safe, and convince Tom Cruise to assume the life of a hermit. You know, all those things that would lighten the weight of the existential dilemma on the shoulders of mankind just a smidge. I'm out.P.S. I'm also all about drinkin' straight out the carton. My Interests

Oh, stuff. You know.

I'd like to meet:

Please see the "heroes" section. But other than that, nobody. Nope, not even YOU. I'm just on myspace to try to be less negligent of the friends I already have. No new additions needed.

Music:

If I were being honest, I'd have to list favorites for every one of like, at least 10 categories. So I'm not even going to try. Suffice to say, my taste is eclectic. I don't have a favorite artist, or even a favorite genre, come to think of it.

Movies:

Yes... Yes, I like movies.

Television:

Me no watchy. But given the chance I would watch MXC, What Not to Wear, The Daily Show, and pretty much anything that comes on HBO for days straight.

Books:

I guess you would call the genre "serious fiction." John Irving, Cormac McCarthy, Tom Robbins and the like. And of course the most serious of all - Harry Potter.

Heroes:

The Muppets. All of them.

Teeny Tiny Snow

Driving home from work this evening, slightly achy after a day of walking DC with forty-some 5-7 year olds, their lunches, juice, bandaids, hand sanitizer, etc. on my back, I was more tired than usual...
