Saga City has come a long way from its humble beginnings. What started out as a few friends in college throwing spontaneous house parties has grown into a company that handles artist management, record production, party promotions, and independent music distribution. The company was officially founded in 2003 as Living Legends Entertainment by W. Bonner, D. Nonye-John, C. Rouse, and D. Thompson. The company was originally intended for party promotions until Rouse decided to include the hip-hop group he managed, Yall Street, into the company. From there they decided to create a full scale entertainment company that covered several facets of the business.
In 2005, the founders decided to incorporate Living Legends. However they found out that the name had already been used in several capacities. So after many weeks of consideration they changed the name to Saga City Entertainment, Inc. Even though Saga City's main focus is music they still haven't strayed far from their roots, throwing good parties. Whether its a small private event, a college promotion, or a large event afterparty, Saga City is the place to come for a good time.
Today's Saga City artists include Yall Street and 9fh Gutta with other negotiations in progress. A Saga City artist is able to blend the harsh reality of life with the positive aspects of living life to the fullest. It takes a special type of talent to speak from the heart as well get the people to listen. That's why only a select few can call themselves a Saga City artist. The ultimate goal is to continue building a roster of talent so solid that the fans support it just because it's from Saga City. In other word Saga City will be synonymous with quality music.
Saga City may be a young company but it's only a short matter of time before its a household name not only in the south but nationwide. There's no denying that they're packed with talents from top to bottom, from the artists to the executives, from public relations to promotions. However it's the combination of talent, ambition, and determination that will make Saga City stand out among the many newcomers in the industry. Other than the music, if there's nothing else you take away from Saga City just remember their mottos: It's not where you're from it's where you're at, and every city has a story.
