I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up! I started making jewelry about 6 years ago and now I'm hooked. Actually, I put down my hook and stopped crocheting like a fanatic. Yarn takes up a lot more space than beads, but beading can really be expensive!I am a "Jill of all trades". I dabble in lots of things, making jewelry, or other crafts. I love to garden, work in my yard, & just sit on my new patio furniture gazing up at the trees. I work full time, sell on eBay, & have a home jewelry business. I like to keep busy! I love antiquing, flea markets, garage sales, & bargain hunting! I usually sell a lot of these “finds” at a garage sale or on eBay!I’m an active person who likes to keep in shape. I play on a competitive volleyball team & have a fitness room in my house. I love to dance, want to take salsa lessons, or learn some of the dances on “Dancing with the Stars”… but, I need a partner!I love music & have quite a variety on my iPod! Check out my favorites on the other side, under music.

It’s great to listen while working on a project around my house. Home improvement projects seem to be never-ending, so I do spend a LOT of time at Home Depot! I like to travel, which I try to do at least once a year. I went to Calgary, Orlando, & Omaha in 2007 & am hoping for Nebraska, Hawaii & San Antonio in 2008! I still want to go on a cruise, but not alone.I love to explore new areas & new things! I really like to challenge myself! I’m taking drum lessons now! I play piano, too! I am like a sponge, wanting new experiences & to live life to the fullest! I try to stay motivated by watching “The Secret” & listening to Tony Robbin’s CDs. I’m entering the Body for Life contest, too!My two kids are all grown up now. This is my daughter, Jenni:..

Jenni sings with Marty, who is the drummer from the band, "Burnt Sienna". They play acoustic gigs in the Wilmington & Newark area, and it's a lot of fun! I am a Moonchild...a Cancer...but I was born on the Gemini Cusp.CURRENT MOON moon phaseGemini/Cancer June 19 to June 23 Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac. Geminis examine the world through intellect. Cancer is the fourth sign of the zodiac. Cancers are emotional and traditional. Those born on the Gemini/Cancer cusp display great imagination and tend to be very expressive. They are interested in heredity and ancestors, and this is reflected in their desire to care for relatives and propagate the family line. They love to learn, and their lives are generally centered around the home. The astrological symbol of Gemini is the Twins. Like twins, Geminis often have a dual nature and are skilled at seeing both sides of a problem. The astrological symbol of Cancer is the Crab. Like the Crab, Cancerians go through life with a strong shell around them that is not easily broken. Gemini/Cancers are the first to express emotion in any given situation -- the first to laugh and the first to tears. Gemini/Cancers tend to have many different interests that they study in great detail. Gemini exemplifies the mutable quality assigned to it by being adaptable and able to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously. Cancer exemplifies the cardinal quality assigned to it by being strong-willed, persistent and initiating.Gemini is ruled by the planet Mercury. In ancient Roman mythology, Mercury (and his Greek equivalent, Hermes) was the messenger god. He was associated with travel and transportation. He was a communicator, quick-witted and inventive. Cancer is ruled by the Moon. In ancient times, the Moon, which represents fertility and instinct, was perceived as the Great Mother, responsible for nurturing all life. The Moon controls the tides and all water on Earth, and it has a strong effect on human emotions. Gemini/Cancers tend to be more sensitive to the movement of the Moon, their moods changing with the Moon's passage. Their facility in adapting to new challenges may seem like opportunism, but it is really just a highly intuitive curiosity that leads them to the right people at the right time. Generally domestic and peaceful, Gemini/Cancers often have many friends and acquaintances, and they won't sit still when loved ones are threatened. The element associated with Gemini is Air. The element associated with Cancer is Water. Gemini/Cancers are very intuitive, and their broad-minded outlook and capacity for abstract reasoning enables them to make strong contributions to projects. Emotion is a key part of their lives and is checked and balanced with logic and objectivity. Their awareness and intellectual approach to life is refreshing, and their emotional honesty is something to be admired.Gemini/Cancers have close family ties with their brothers and sisters. They often remain youthful and lighthearted their whole lives. These people have a strong association with food and a willingness to always try something new; they often make excellent cooks. Their many interests make them entertaining and stimulating conversationalists who really love people. In their leisure time, Gemini/Cancers enjoy pairing up with a partner for recreation. They often enjoy team sports because of the family feeling a team often provides. Gemini/Cancers are more likely to be ambidextrous than other signs. Physical exercise and artistic endeavors, written or on canvas, allow them to channel their swirling emotions into productive output. Their love for conversation and food ensures that leisurely dinners with friends are highly enjoyable for them, and their inquisitive and literary orientation means they enjoy mentally challenging pursuits as well.In love relationships, Gemini/Cancers are caring, flirtatious, playful and romantic. The great strength of the Gemini/Cancer-born is in their blending of intellectual and conversational skills. They have the ability to understand the difficulties their loved ones must work through. Their affectionate nature makes them among the most caring characters of the zodiac.

I appreciate the following qualities (not in order) in a man, & will return the same 2u: giving, caring, trustworthy, honest, loyal, romantic, motivated, energetic, spontaneous, adventurous, great sense of humor, FUN, exciting, good listener, open communication, active, non-smoker, musical, young-at-heart, willing to grow & learn new things. I would like to meet someone who:* likes to go out (sometimes) to dinner, dancing, listen to live music, movies, enjoy coffee (or tea) at a coffeeshop, attend concerts, shows, theater, etc.;* likes animals (I have cats), outdoor activities, the beach, walking along the water, swimming, hiking, camping, cycling, riding dirt bikes or 4x4s;* enjoys cuddling in front of the fire, sipping wine & eating chocolate-covered strawberries;* enjoys watching DVDs, some TV shows & sharing popcorn;* knows how to be romantic – not someone who just plays that game at the beginning;* will love me unconditionally & not want to change me.Relationships take nurturing to stay alive. People change, but they can change together…traveling through life as one, sharing experiences, joys, sorrows, & all that life has to offer. My perfect first date would be meeting at an intimate, quiet place for dinner, so we can spend time getting to know each other. Slowly enjoying dinner, listening to each other talk about our likes & dislikes, hopes & dreams, some things about our past, childhood, families, & work we do, etc. Hopefully, both of us would bring our “real” selves to the table, so we can look into each other's eyes to discover if we want to know more about the other person. My ideal relationship involves two people who can trust each other, communicate, be loyal & honest, & mutually have all the above-mentioned qualities. It involves give & take, supporting each other through the good, as well as the bad times, loving each other unconditionally, smiling a lot, laughing together, having fun, holding hands in public, genuinely caring about each other, creating excitement, making love often, learning new things about each other, planning for the future, & growing together as one. What I've learned from my past relationships is that people are in your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. You don't usually know which reason it is, until it's too late. Enjoy life to the fullest. Keep nurturing each other and LOOK for the positive aspects in each other. Focusing on the negative will only bring more of that. Focusing on the positive will bring out the best in BOTH of you! LIVE, LAUGH and, most importantly, LOVE!

My mom was my hero. She passed away on October 30, 2007, after battling with lung cancer.
Quote Pictures..

She overcame breast cancer, and several other surgeries, and completed radiation for the lung cancer. She just couldn't this, after getting so weak from the treatments. She taught me SO much about life, and about how to "Follow Your Bliss". I only hope that I can keep my memories of her vivid in my life, and that she will inspire me to reach for my dreams and to achieve whatever I want in life.
SUPERFLYCHICKEN.COMOther heroes of mine that I'd like to meet are Tony Robbins, Bill Phillips, Brian Tracy, Wayne Dyer, Suze Orman, Zig Ziglar, Jack Canfield, and many more...
SUPERFLYCHICKEN.COMLast, and certainly not least, I want to remember a very special young man. Army Cpl. Stephen M. McGowan 26, of Newark, Delaware. Steve died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near his patrol. He was assigned to the 1st Infantry Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Fort Carson, Colorado. This special young man died on March 4, 2005.He, along with too many American soldiers, lost his life defending our freedom. We miss you, Stephen!..
