About Me

Layout made by juldancer17 at CreateBlog.com . ............................................................ ............................................................ ............... Just returned from a month long nanny job traveling Europe with two great kids. Even great kids are highly stressful, I have to say. I thank God for the opportunity to see so many new places though. Hmmmm...I recently cut about a foot off my hair and the little girl i babysat said I look like a dinosaur when i wake up in the morning. This is not a well thought out about me section. I'll work on it when the jet lag wears off.

My Interests

.. width="425" height="350" ..

I'd like to meet:

I always had this vision of God sitting in this huge King Size chair. And he is 20 feet tall and I crawl up and sit in his lap and he just hugs me and I fall asleep. I am so jealous of children getting to be so small and fitting in someone's lap.

Music:

Laura Hughes, Sufjan Stevens, Joseph Arthur, Nina Nastasia, Jennifer Knapp, Imogen Heap, CatPower, Tonic, Plumb (ahh...nostalgic), Death Cab for Cutie, Sara Groves. Kind of into cheesy contemporary christian music right now...perhaps i am longing for home.

Movies:

Me and You and Everyone We Know, Apocalypto, The Lives of Others, and I will always cherish "Little Women" (the latest version)

Television:

I dont really know right now. I love CNN. Anderson 360 but dont watch it as much as I'd like. Oh and I saw "Man Vs. Wild" on the Discovery Channel the other day. love it. Wish I could do all that.

Books:

Currently Reading: Freedom of Simplicity (just started it for the second time. Hitting me hard., Flannery O'Connors Spiritual Writings, Researching Flannery O'Connor and Simone Weil, Reading about Buddhism because I have a friend who's getting into it and I dont know what to say, Just finished "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" about the man who cut off his own arm to save his life. Tears were in store. Highly recommend it.

Heroes:

Heroes: I'm blessed to have people in my life everyday that remind me of all the things I easily forget. I think anyone who's followed God's lead when they really dont want to is a hero. People who don't get upset when their roommate thinks the last bit of smoothie in the blender doesnt matter. I'm working on this one. Smoothies should not get me upset. People who flirt. I think it's very brave. I'm working on this one too.
