About Me

I'm a 29 year old Husker who recently, and permanently, relocated to San Diego. I have been married for two years to my sweetheart, Casey, who is a helicopter pilot in the US Navy. Though married for awhile, we JUST moved in together! Until June of this past year, we were living in different states! But my time in Memphis is over, now that I have finished my Pediatrics residency. It was a wonderful three years where I met lifelong friends, but I am GLAD it's over! Now that my hubby and I are finally under the same roof, we look forward to having a semi-normal life! This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

I love children- which works out well, since I'm a pediatrician! I'm specifically interested in helping kids to eat and live healthy for life and plan to dedicate a portion of my future general pediatrics practice to working with overweight children to reduce obesity. Free time interests are music- especially karaoke!! And I spent an inordinate amount of time in Memphis participating in bar trivia- this is where my capacity for useless pop culture knowledge is really useful. So far, I haven't found such a thing in San Diego, but I'm on the lookout! I also love to read, do yoga, eat Mexican food at hole in the wall places, and when I'm feeling creatively productive, I crochet. Currently, I'm obsessed with recipes and cookbooks, and wish I knew how to cook! It's nice to be living with my husband and be able to say, "Here honey, cook me this," and have it magically appear!

I'd like to meet:

I'd mostly like to use this site to reconnect with old friends- especially fellow Husker transplants who I may have lost track of over the years! And I wouldn't mind meeting this guy...
