Fencing, first and foremost. Singing, writing, poetry, acting, miniature figurine painting, airbrushing, scrimshaw, illuminated manuscripting (well, kind of trying this one), bike riding, tennis, racquetball, horseback riding, movies, theatre, museums . . . .okay, just ask me.
I met her and proposed to her on October 7th, 2007. Poor thing said yes....does she really know what she's getting into?? I hope so :) 10/26 -- short engagement....have a lovely wife now with 2 grown and wonderful kids. I'm a happy man.Otherwise, just friends and those that have same interests if they want to chat it up.
I have a wide range of likes in music. I enjoy everything from John Denver to Matchbox Twenty, instrumentals to Mozart and Beethoven. I like most any music though I'm not much into the Punk thing and Rap just isn't my bag though I have found a couple songs in that genre that have interested me. Again, just ask.
Wow, the list is too numerous to put down. I enjoy Drama, Sci-Fi, Comedy, Romance, some Horror but depends on the type. My range is something like this. Zulu (if you haven't seen it, we may need to sit down). K PAX, Sleepless in Seattle, Happy Gilmore, Frequency, Serendipity, The Princess Bride, Ben Hur. This should give you some idea of the range of stuff I enjoy, not that oldies like Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" are not great either, or "The Thin Man". I could talk your ear off here, so ask at your own peril *smile*
I don't watch as much TV as I once did though there are still things I do enjoy seeing. CSI (the original), Without A Trace, Heroes, and Day Break. I love watching Biography Channel, History Channel, and off and on the Sci-Fi Channel. Not as much into the reality programs though there is one or two that will get my interest.
As most of my other interests, this is wide ranging as well. I love fantasy, sci-fi, history, spy, and drama. Some of my favorite authors are: Isaac Asimov--Foundation series and Robot series, Brian Lumley--Necroscope series, Simon Hawke--Time Wars series, Wizard on 4th Street series, Robert Asprin--Myth series, Phule series, Fred Saberhagen--Book of Swords series. I'm currently reading a nine volume series on the Civil War by Shelby Foote which has taught me more about our country's time of turmoil in two volumes than all the schooling I ever had. Also love many of the classics: Ivanho, Robin Hood, Black Arrow, Le Morte de Artur, Kidnapped, Treasure Island and on and on. Newest interest: Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. Amazing read...hear they may make a move or miniseries....wish I was in it.
Hmmm, this is much harder though here are some people that have helped in some way, shape or form to shape me into the person I am or want to become. Both of my parents whom I love dearly, John Wayne who to a boy in his early teens was a giant, The crew of the Challenger and Abraham Lincoln. I may add to this at some point. This was a rough one.
